[ there's a quiet rumbling that first comes over the network, a purr as it were before a disembodied voice echos over the line. ]

Oh, c'mon. Can't you let a man sleep?

[ the purring halts and then there's a very, very loud meow and then there's a shift and the cat moves, pawing at Arthur's face which is only a few feet away from the now active phone.

Artur's nose twitched and then he bats away the paw covering his cheek. ]

Go away.

[ the multi-colored tabby meows louder and presses up against Arthur's face. With a sputter, Arthur sits straight up and makes a grab for the cat. ]

Hypnos!

[ and off the tabby runs! Breakfast time? Hypnos obviously thinks it is. ]

[Rain is just watching, okay, maybe staring a bit, with a smile on her face. She rather likes sleepy, half-naked Arthur.]

[ a sleep, half-naked Arthur that is going to color up an awful lot the moment he realizes his phone is on and ten make a dive roll for his shirt, well off camera, for the record. With a muffled noise, he'll speak through the shirt, tugging it on ]

Sorry. That stupid cat is always making trouble.

[ and apparently now it's learned to turn on his phone. ]

[And that's a sad little sound Rain made when she lost sight of half-naked Arthur.]

[It made her want to kiss him again actually. Not that that was far from her mind anyway these days.]

[ was that... no, nope. It couldn't be. He'd just ignore he ever heard that and continue tugging on his shirt as he cautiously peeked into the video screen. ]

Uh, yes, well... I'm glad it wasn't,um, disturbing, at all.

[ another pause, another not quite look into the screen as he picks it up and turns it over in his hands. ] Shouldn't there be a way to lock this? [ Rhodey showed him once, but that was months ago. ]

[And if she looks a little dreamy, well... maybe she's thinking happy thoughts. Very sweet happy thoughts.]

If there is a way, I don't know how. Mine just seems to turn on whenever it wants no matter what I do.

And Hypnos just chased Phantom and Petrichor outside so you should eat fast before she comes back and blatantly steals your food.

[ good. Because that might make Merlin jealous ]

[ he swears ] and you couldn't just send Merlin out to wake me up? You've got those cats of yours far too well trained.

[ but he's hurrying, after all, there wasn't much else worse then cold breakfast. ]

Merlin's asleep. And the cats aren't trained. It's impossible to train a cat. Rumor has it, cat's train their humans.

[It'll be on the table. Charlie will have kept it warm for him.]

Which still begs the question of why is she waking me up and not you?

[ but he's found a shirt and he's dealt with the fall out of his... early morning wake up call and he's strolling into the kitchen rubbing his hands gleefully together after oh... far too long a wait. ]

[Charlie'll just wait until Arthur is in the kitchen. She's working on her own food now, putting everything together to make a breakfast sandwich for herself.]

Because Hypnos likes you. I don't think she's ever cared for me much.

[ he snatched a shirt off the nearest chair and tugged it on, irritated, but only because he's never been much of a morning person. ]

Of course I didn't. If I did, I would have made certain to be awake and not sleeping when it happened.

I don't even know how the cat got in here! [ honestly. He's been trying to figure it out for months ]

[Despite her overall mood, Saya giggles just a little. The menagerie in that house was distracting in the best way.] Maybe he's hungry.

[ he stilled and then rolled over, quickly picking up his phone and swearing. ]

Just... give me a moment. [ shirt, shirt... where was his shirt! ] And of course he's hungry! Why else would that fool cat wake me up in the...

[ he stopped a moment to look at the clock and then blinked ] Oh. Maybe it is a little late. [ as if 8am was late. But hey, Arthur's used to getting up with the dawn. ]

I'm sure it's fine. It's not that late. [Regardless of what Hypnos thinks.] But he probably won't stop bothering you until he gets what he wants.

[ he raises an eyebrow ] It's late enough considering the shortness of the days in this season.

[ but then he frowned and took a good long look at Saya ]
