So tomorrow's gonna be my third New Year's Eve in the City, and I think this year I'm finally gonna make a resolution. Even if it's not real magic or anything, I want to. Just for myself.

[ He cocks his head to the side and looks a little thoughtful. ]

I wasn't sure what to resolve, though. Because I already get to do whatever I want here; I don't really have any goals or anything. So I thought I might just resolve to have a good year.

What about you guys?

I don't usually do this resolution stuff. But having a good year sounds like a plan.

Sometimes it feels like I just got here. But I guess time seems to go faster looking back than looking forward.

You don't think it's too vague?

That's probably it. But I haven't even been here a year yet and it feels like ages, to me.

Nah! It's simple and positive. Even if you have to make it yourself. Even if other people have to help you. You can still make it happen.

Make good things happen. Something to smile about or enjoy. Even if it's only one thing a day, I like it.

A year feels like forever until you're on the second one. [Here or otherwise.]

Did you resolve anything last year, back in your world?

Mmm, depends on how you meant that. I don't do resolutions, but I was in the middle of ending and fixing something before I got pulled here. Sadly, never got to finish.

You might someday, though. The deities don't keep people here forever.

Well, true! I will go back to it. I don't doubt that.

It's just frustrating to work up to something, then right as you're about to do it get pulled here. But I'll deal.

I thought there was once, but it turned out someone else did it for me. But that's okay. I trust him to do it right.

I only got as far as I did because of the person that started everything. Without her paving the way, I don't think I would've stood a chance.
