[ 001 ] 🌠[ Video // Action ]
[ A tall, blond teenage boy appears right beside the fountain, and it's a close call that he doesn't end up emerged in the water, stumbling away from it as he tries to regain his balance, somehow still as graceful as ever, and takes in his surroundings.
He thinks about removing the stele from his pocket, drawing runes upon his flesh to help him fight, but he decides against; if he looks beyond the fact he's been kidnapped, standing in the middle of a city he doesn't recognise, he doesn't sense any threat here. And there's always the blades holstered around his waist if he needs them.
The weight in his pocket wasn't there before, isn't one he's familiar with, but before he can take whatever it is out, he's being approached by a stranger who feels the need to kiss him, and worse still, that he suddenly finds himself wanting to kiss back.
Clary, he thinks, panicked, eyes darting around in case she's here, too, lost somewhere, alone, and with who knows what waiting for her out there. I need to find Clary.
Finally pulling out the device, he switches it on, figures it out enough to get a video feed going. ]
So, does someone want to tell me what's going on? I'm not really in the mood for guessing games. And what's with all the tongue action I'm getting here? I know I'm attractive, but it's not the welcome I'd choose.

Action
You're not attractive.
Action
Usually I'd be upset by that, but if it means you're not about to throw yourself at me then I'll live.
Action
[He huffs and swings his feet as he watches him. Someone is not dressed for this weather in combat boots, shorts, and a fishnet shirt.]
Action
You haven't got your hands all over some unsuspecting victim, but you're still sitting out here watching, and you're looking a little cold up there.

Let me guess. Arrived just in time for the holidays?
action; it is! :3
Holidays? [ The snow on the ground, the lights hanging up, and, of course, the mistletoe. ] Mundanes. Where are we? The last time I checked, the holidays weren't exactly around the corner.
action; yesss
Time here doesn't line up with home. Not usually, at any rate. When I first arrived, it was March in Britain and early December here in the City. But all the guides'll tell you that home doesn't move forward without you so you aren't missing anything by being here.
[Ginny pauses, tips her head a fraction.]
Too fast for you? I can start over.
action;
He looks smug, close to amused. ] Too fast? For me? Don't be ridiculous. Wherever this is, it isn't home, and whatever time it was there it stays as it is. See, I've got it. But the detail I'm not getting is how I got here in the first place, there were no portals to walk through, and even if there had been the time wouldn't change.

Jace.
His video makes her heart jump, her pulse start beating heavily in her throat. She doesn't even respond to the thing, sees the fountain behind him and shoves her device away. She runs, mostly because so much has happened, he'd died, and then she ended up here without any way to talk to him about what they did. She runs, and it takes minutes but it feels like hours, and then he's there and she's calling his name with a smile, flinging her arms round him and hugging him as tight as she can. ]
You had to pick this day to show up, didn't you? [ Voice muffled against his shoulder. ]

[ He squints at the blur of colour rushing towards him, but he doesn't need to ask to know that it's her; he would know that voice, feel that tug of presence wherever they were.
Clary, he thinks, his inner voice even sounding relieved, and she's right there, throwing herself at him before he's even managed to mvoe from the spot.
He doesn't hesitate in holding his arms open, wrapping her up in them and pulling her close, holding on a little too tightly. What is this place? And how did they get here?
But everything goes out of his mind as he pulls back enough to look at her, a hand brushing back fallen strands of hair from her face so he can lean in and kiss her with enough enthusiasm to express how much he's glad she's here, safe, with him. ]
What's so special about today?
no subject
Jace means the world to her, he means everything and she's so happy that he's here, so happy and yet worried what might happen to him now that he is. ] People are kissing everyone else, it's weird.
[ She sounds distracted though, a hand going to cup his face. ] Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself when you fell?
no subject
It's disgusting, and someone should tell them to get a room.
[ But he suddenly becomes aware of how close they are, the fact that he's still holding onto her as much as she is him, the warmth of her hand on his cheek. ] Fell? I'd be offended if it didn't sound like you were trying to pick me up.

But no, it's not the usual behaviour. People are just being...pulled into sharing the seasonal spirit. Let's start from the beginning. Hi, I'm Mae, and you are in the City.
