[Luke is sitting at a outdoor table of one of the many tea cafes that appeared in the Square. He's dressed elegantly as usual, but has an added accessory draped over his shoulders. While he sips not-tea-but-coffee, Len-Len eagerly gobbles up what looks like red velvet petit fours.

Scene pulls back: Tables are set-up in front of a pet store. Other animal patrons are enjoying the same little cakes. Their humanoid companions aren't partaking, though. For them it's 'house special' cupcakes, cookies, and chocolates.]

You're missing out on a good source of protein.

Yeah. Not quite as good as home. But pretty good.

Sounds like you only scratched the surface.

You might be underestimating how good I had it back home.

Well, I only did get the bare bones of the story.

Well, I'll expand on the details a bit. Every single cop in town was a dirty cop because dad bribed them all and the ones that wouldn't take bribes were shot or driven out. Killed a few people right in front of the chief of police and the old bastard just laughed.

The bottom floor of my house was an arcade where we strung up drifters and you could hit them with hammers or bumper cars.

We had this arena where we'd send the worst of the worst, whoever crossed us the most, and they'd have to fight The Plague, a couple of elite assassins that work for my family. It was a fucking blast. No one ever beat them.
