I know I said I wanted to travel, but I was planning to actually travel, as opposed to just arrive, which I seem to have done.  

[Jenny frowns as she looks away from the camera at the surrounding area, her breath fogging in puffs in front of the camera, not that she particularly seems to be paying attention to the cold.  After a moment she gives a sigh and spins the camera round to show what she's seeing.  Immediately before her there's snow but laid out in front of that is the rest of the island, most of it's coast easily visible from the mountain slope Jenny's stopped on.]

And how did I get on an island without my ship?

[She raises an eyebrow. There's your clue Doctor]

I'm Jenny but I don't think I've been here before, it's very strange, I think I'd remember.

That's a bit of a complicated question.

No one really knows. It's sort of random for everyone.

So it might not be complicated, if might be really boring and simple, it's just probably complicated.

That's what I thought too. And unfortunately there are no real locals to speak of.

Don't worry, it's nice, like the weather? I've never seen rain.

No but they sounds uncomfortable.

No? But there were loads of people in town, everyone just appears?

Some of them can be. And some of them can even be a bit amusing.

Some disappear and some come back with no memory. At least that's what I've heard.

So, where are you from?

Apparently that's what happened to me, although I don't know how I could forget here, I mean, [she gestures around her] I've never seen anywhere like it.

A small planet called Messaline, it's still new there. Where are you from?

Sometimes it happens, there's not really any rhyme or reason to it. People simply come and go with no recollection.

Oh, that's sad, just forgetting everyone and all the places you've been. Have I met you before then?

No, underground, and none of the places I've visited since leaving home had any rain.

There's more than one of me? Like having a sister?

I don't know, I've never seen Earth. The population's about fifty percent human though so there are probably similarities.

Earth's not bad depending on the version.

Oh gosh. That doesn't sound like much fun.

...Oh? [She frowns, trying to work it out. He's... familiar, but in an odd way]

[ Softly. ] Hello again, Jenny.

[whosdaughter]

[Her eyes widen a second before she grins broadly]

Dad? But how? You don't look like you?

I ... I regenerated. But I promise you that it's me. If you tell me where you are we can have a chat together.

Sounds messy. I'm on the mountain path, coming down now, the one facing the sea.
