Oh, I must say I do rather like the, er, dancing. Not that anyone ought to be forced of course, but it's so festive, I can't help but enjoy it.

Er, if anyone is looking for a partner, I would be happy to oblige. Though I must confess I don't know the steps to a great many dances. But I am quite willing to learn.

[ ACTION ]

[True to his word, the angel is hanging around in the square, alternating between watching the dancers with no small delight, and taking his own only-slightly-awkward turns across the street with various partners.

He will try not to step on your feet. Too much. Er.]

Ideas? Is this one of those curses everyone was talking about?

Well, yes, though I expect some are merely taking advantage of the opportunity. But, er. It's not exactly usual, this sort of thing.

...is it bad if I'm taking advantage of it? Because I'm not cursed, but it just looked like so much fun. I didn't mean to take advantage of anything, or anyone.

[Would he be repelled by her, now, that he knew she wasn't cursed? She wasn't trying to pretend or fake it!]

Oh, well. Have the people you've danced with been, er, displeased?

[Aziraphale likes dancing so much, it's hard for him to be harsh.]

N-no.... But I don't think they knew.

I should find them and apologize for deceiving them! I didn't mean to! [She's a bit overly frantic for it, worrying over something so silly. She was enjoying herself, though.]

I'm sure it's quite all right, my dear.

[Oh gosh he didn't mean to make her upset!]

I think, er. As long as they weren't harmed, it ought to be all right, really.

[Poor Az. Not his fault. Tohru easily makes herself upset.]

Oh, no one was harmed. No.

Well, then, I think you'll be forgiven. [He smiles, as reassuringly as he can manage.]

That's good. Because I had a lot of fun dancing with everyone. I wouldn't want my ignorance to taint those memories. [She's a little lighter after hearing that.]

[Oh, thank goodness, Aziraphale hates seeing people unhappy.]

I think you'll find, in spite of its myriad faults, the City tends to be a forgiving place.

[So does Tohru.]

I'm glad. The City isn't turning out to be a very bad place, not at all.

Oh, I'm glad you've found that to be the case. Er-- it can be very dangerous, here, but all in all, really, I think it's worthwhile, enjoying the nicer times when we're able.

You have a very upbeat outlook on it! [Some others had seemed rather...not so willing to look on the other side.]

And I hope to enjoy the nicer ones as much as I can.

Er, well, I do try. [It's in his nature.] Are you a new arrival?

I try as well! It's one of the things I'm not bad at.

[A light blush. Is it that noticeable? Does she act weird? Do anything out of the ordinary?] Ah, yes, I am. I've only been here a few days.

[For once in his long, long life, Aziraphale does actually notice her reaction.] It's only that you seem, er, unfamiliar with the curses.

Oh! Yes! Someone mentioned them, but they weren't very detailed about what kinds of curses we might see here.

Well, they can be quite difficult to predict.

I see that, now. I was expecting something more...inconvenient. But this curse is rather nice!

It's an excellent one to, er, ease you into the peculiarities of this place.

Oh...yes. If the other curses are harsher than this one, I should be prepared. A lighter one does help!

Sadly, I can tell you with absolute certainty that a great many of them are much worse. But, er. I do think it's best to stay as optimistic as one can manage.

Then I'll be okay! I do have a determined outlook, if nothing else.

That, my dear, is the best place to begin.
