[Carla doesn't care much for jewelry and cosmetics, but she can appreciate fine clothes. Lithe figure and small bust, she doesn't have trouble finding things that fit. She doesn't usually venture beyond white and black as her palette, but apparently it's just that kind of day.

She holds the camera up to get her in the mirror, considering the way it looks before she murmurs,]

I need a date for dinner.

I didn't get to bring much of my wardrobe with me here. It's the only I have, now.

[Carla likes it too, for the time being, although it's likely she'll change her mind tomorrow when this curse wears off, at which point she will be a bit annoyed to have spent her money on it.]

It is? Nonetheless, you have wonderful style when it comes to dresses. It's unique, but it's very you!

[And how the dress is so simply yet she wears it like it's the most amazing piece of clothing ever made. She should really learn from her and that confidence she wears. Perhaps that's what everyone was talking about regarding confidence and how it's attractive.]

[Compared to her more... intricate dress with ruffles and layers, but it's what she prefers.]

You said something about dinner earlier. I could accompany you, however I wouldn't be a date, per se.

I've never been on a date in my life, I just meant I wanted company.

Well, neither have I. Shall we go get dinner tonight, then?

[Dinner with a pink-haired princess... It's just that kind of day.]

Sure. Do you want me to pick you up somewhere?

I can meet you in the square if that would be easiest for you!

All right. I'm sure you'll be easy to pick out against the sand.

[Carla is not all that good at being nice. However, there's nothing particularly venomous there and she gives the mirror and her dress another appreciative glance.]

Alright. Shall I meet you now?

[Oh, she's so excited. Going to hang out with Carla!]

Figure out what you want to eat on the way.

[You want steaks, right, Bunny?]

Anything sounds good, really. I'm not terribly picky!

[Steaks are wonderful. And no, she's really not picky. She'll eat dog food.

And on her way now! She will be at the fountain shortly!]

[The problem with Carla is that she's not terribly picky either. She just wants to eat. She'd been starved for two years. She had submitted to it, in same ways as she hadn't eaten Barbet in his sleep, but the pain of it had still been there, exhaustion and weakness and discontent. Now she eats everything in sight, and while she often feels full, her body burns through the fuel as if she were Reanimate still. Her bird had expressed his opinions on hunger: it was unacceptable.

With the skirt of her gown scooped up over her arm to protect it from the sand, Carla comes to join the princess at the fountain. Personally, she's enjoy the warmer weather and has opted out of her black boots in favor of something nicer. It has been a very long time since she has dressed up, years, and she is finding it a bit more pleasant than she should, curse aside.]

Do you know anywhere with good desserts?

[Estelle's been here longer than she has, might as well ask.]

[Seeing Carla, she waves at her, noting how lovely she does look in that dress. She’s used to her more gruff style so it’s a bit of a surprise to see her dressed more elegantly, however there is something rather nice about it as well that fits her. Almost as if it brings a different side out of her. As for a sweets shop, there is one that she would definitely recommend!]

There’s a nice sweets hop just in the square. I have been there a few times with my friends, and they always have a lovely selection of sweets!

[But first, dinner!]

Perhaps we could find a restaurant nearby, then go there after we have our meal! As for what sounds good, do you like Oriental food?

[She has a soft spot for sushi and udon hot pots.]

[Once upon a time, Carla had fit the image of a rich and confident woman in her early twenties. At twenty-four, her chic and understated style had been very different from the jeans and loose fitting shirts she crawled into now. There wasn't much point in expending a great deal into her wardrobe these days, bloodstains were difficult to wash out.]

I like food, let's go.

[She motions Estelle to lead the way.]

Is it something you tried, when you got here?

[The girl wasn't from Earth, so the idea of her having 'oriental' food there wasn't quite right.]

[And leading the way is exactly what she does as she goes to a little Oriental restaurant she has been to a few times and has delicious sushi, tempura, and udon soup! Though funnily enough, she can't stand sukiyaki despite having a love for such foods.]

Actually, we had similar foods in my world, but I found out that it was referred to Oriental food here, so that's what I call it. In my world, it really wasn't affiliated with any culture like it is with Earth.

[A simple explanation. Food is food. Sure some different cities would have different foods, but having traveled her world, people really weren't that different when it came to their foods. Except that port cities had a lot of sea food, but that would probably be true of any world.]

Here we are!

[A small restaurant, but fairly empty today as she opens the door and motions Carla to enter.]
