I'm down one physics student, which leaves me with a lot more ticking time. I hate to admit it, but it's getting pretty hard to tolerate.

I guess... what I'm trying to say is that I could use some company. I'm going to find a decent, Cage-free restaurant and lunch will be on me.

Somehow I didn't really expect you to be punctual. I'm intuitive.

I noticed the last time you dropped in. Do you remember which one is my sock drawer?

[He'll busy himself dishing up some of the soup and setting out the various bowls of sprouts, cilantro, peppers, and vegetables that go in the broth.]

Sane people put it on the top.

[ He will, meanwhile, go raid your fridge for something decent to drink and then watch this process with mild interest. Vegetables and stuff, man. ]

Have a seat. [He's putting everything on the breakfast bar that separates the kitchen from the living room.] Tell me how you're doing.

I'm accusing you of some level of it, anyway. I don't know why the things that go on the bottom of your body are in the top drawer. I guess it's order of donning rather than order of use.

[ how he is doing what ] Are we thirteen now or what? I'm great. How are you?

You can take it up with the furniture makers, since they tend to put the sundries drawers at the top.

[He's so rolling his eyes, Tony.] It's less nosy than probing you about how you're taking curses, whether you're making friends, what you're working on.

I haven't had any since that freaky injury curse, I am sitting in a friend's kitchen, and I'm working on some sort of synthetic liquid tissue. And sort of an electrosthetic conductor, but that's more of a pet project cum bunny trail than anything. You?

Huh. It sounds like you're settling in. I'd love to have a look at the liquid tissue. I might even have an idea or two in that direction that would be helpful.

[He slides a bowl full of broth and noodles in front of Tony before coming around to the other side of the bar to sit down with a bowl of his own.]

I've dodged curses since that weekend with Luke and Serrure. [Which he would like to have unhappen.] Other than that, I patch people up when they get dropped in my lap and keep working toward understanding this place.

[He's dropping cilantro and sprouts into his broth, stirring it in.]

I think I've seen him on the network but I haven't talked to either one of them. What do they do?

I was hoping you'd know, since they're carrying on secret research under what's kind of your roof. I don't feel good about people who think they need secrets in a place like this.

[Maybe he sees Tony appraising his add-ins, maybe he's just being nice. Either way, he pushes the dishes over to Tony.]

[ pause. ] Really? [ ..huh. ] That's pretty ballsy. I'll have to look into that.

[ He'll add stuff like Bruce did, because hey, why not, trying stuff, it's usually pretty fun. ]

Yeah, I know you're inheriting this stuff from another you or a future you or some similar City weirdness, but it's in your lap now.

[A pause for some broth.]

I'll look around and see what I can find. [ Which hopefully should be a fair amount, because it's his company and he's Tony Stark. Like really. [subject to player approval ^TM etc. &c. ]

Is your lap less safe?

[He probably doesn't actually glance down at his lap. That must be a figment of Tony's imagination.]

I don't need to be in charge of other people.
