18th Spell ~ [Accidental video]
[ The device has been discarded on a table, but it gives a rather decent view of the living room and Merlin moving about picking up glasses that have been left out. When he's about to exit the room, though, he trips on the treshold and yelps as he flails not to drop the glasses. But one ends up falling to the floor anyway and breaks into pieces.
He curses, and mutters somewhat under his breath: ]
Again? Glad I'm not cursed today - that's the last thing I need.
[ With a sharp exhale, he squats down to pick up the bigger pieces.
He's glad it's a curse day, though. It means it shouldn't be one tomorrow, and that's just perfect. At least they're getting that.
Once he's picked up the pieces, he disappears for a while, and eventually comes back into the screen with a vacuum. Once he's cleaned up the rest of the broken glass, he runs his hand over his hair and leans into the doorway to look around the living room. And smirks, as he straightens up and turns away to amusingly call out (into the kitchen, but you can't tell that from the recording). ]
Are you really sure you'll be able to keep the house cleaned while we're gone, Arthur?!
[ The feed cuts out. ]

audio:
Tell Arthur he's not allowed to eat all of the food I made in one go.
[Seriously. She worked hard on getting it all made for him and Saya. There are a TON of waffles. A ton. And a load of other foods that she knew Arthur enjoyed.]
audio:
He chuckles. ]
All right, I will.
Re: audio:
[Teasing.]

audio:
...wow, I'm bossy today.
[That's because you're a bit nervous, Charlie.]
audio:
And I'm clumsy.
[ Pause. ]
More than usual.
Hopefully it doesn't stick around tomorrow. But I'll pass on the message.

Need help? [Pardon the grammar, she's just learning to speak again after thirty-odd years in a cocoon.]
video
He gives her a wide smile. ]
I wouldn't say no to help if you'd like to give it, but I should be fine on my own.
video
Saya want to help! [Given her ineptitude at... everything, it might be more of a chore for him, but at least she's amusing?]

How can help?
action
Uhm... All the flat surfaces need wiping.
action
[...she might need more details.]
action
He laughs, but it's not ill-meant. It's just... sort of endearing, cute even. ]
No, uh. Here, I'll show you.
[ And he turns to head for the broom cupboard. ]
action
Okay! I learn better. [She puffs up, all determined. You just watch how good she learns to wipe tables!]
action
You fill this bucket with hot water, but not too hot so you burn yourself. Then you pour a little bit of this in.
[ He waves the detergent in the air a bit, and demonstrates before he puts the bucket down on the floor and dips the cloth in it. ]
And then you wipe tables or window sills or similar places like this.
[ After swiping the cloth over the edge of the table, he hands it to Saya. ]
action
I help make house clean for Charlie -- repay her. [She pauses, brow furrowing.] Repay? [Is that the word?]

[Charlie has such nice people living with her. Saya wonders if she's a little out of place in such a house. But all she can do is her best...]
[She'll have to thank Merlin later on.]
[ action ]
I think I can keep the place clean for one week and beside, that new girl is here. I'll make her help. [ although that might be more trouble then it's worth. She's just a tiny bit touched in the head it seemed. ]
[ action ]
Just be nice to her.
[ action ]
[ there may be a tiny pout there ]

[ Now where was he with the cleaning... ]
[ video ]
Nervous for tomorrow are you? [ he's heard the buzz; Merlin was getting married soon. ]
[ video ]
Still, he does sniff in some indignation. ]
Maybe.
[ video ]
It's normal, from what I've heard if that's any consolation.

Is there anything in particular I should be aware of then, when I check on the house? [ and don't be skimpy on the details now! He's taking notes! ]
[ video ]
He should at least be able to take care of the animals, though.
[ video ]
He would love to find out if that's true. ]
Re: [ video ]
[ A pause, as he mentally counts them. ]
A lot, really. Three cats, one dog, a fox and a hedgehog. Not counting the horse, but he's mainly Charlie's and doesn't exactly stay in the house.
[ He chuckles, briefly. A horse in the house, hurhur. ]
[ video ]
I would hope you wouldn't let a horse in the house! There would be no end to the mess.
[ ahem ] But other than that, you can consider the situation well in hand. Please, enjoy your wedding tomorrow. You're a very lucky man. [ to have a spouse, to have a wife! What more could Merlin ask for? ]
