Yeah, that's something that's not escaped my notice since I got here, but it's still a long-shot.

[ He's not holding his breath, but he's open to being surprised. ]

Never better. [ The sarcasm is thick, but he doesn't deserve the fall. He shrugs. ] It's complicated. The way things were before we came here, it's... [ Coulson is dead. Does he know or should he tell him? ] He's one of few people I trust, it's just weird not having him around. But I'll be good.

Agent Coulson said he dies in your world.

[ Everything about his expression closes off for a second, but then he shrugs, puts on a good show of not being punched in the gut by hearing the words out loud. ]

Yeah, turns out he's not as indestructible as we all liked to believe.

Though he might come back? If our worlds hold such similarity, well, this sort of thing happens all the time. Thor has died twice and returned.

Nah, it's not like it's a secret or anything. [ He shrugs, because, well, it's true, even if it shouldn't be.

No, not a magic thing. I'm not sure quite what it is, but death has little sway over my world's mortal heroes as well. Perhaps it is because they are so needed.

Well, Fury does have a lot of surprises up his sleeve, but we're not there yet. Least, I don't think we are.
