[A short while later Theo opens up a video with a vaguely amused look on his face.]

So, I know there are jokes about keeping skeletons in your closets, but I didn't think that applied to necromancers.

I'm stuck in here with some very pleasant company, but we're still stuck. Anyone one want to get us out before I think of more bad closet jokes?

What do you eat? Since you're not a as, you say, Hollywood vampire?

Food same as everyone else. Meat, vegetables, fruits...I have a sweet tooth so chocolate is always good.

[And now the part that's going to require some working out here where she's the only one of her kind.]

We do require blood but usually from another vampire of the opposite sex. Human blood isn't strong enough.

[The rats go ridged and then they go from moving around with aimless ratness to purpose as they squirm under the door.]

There are only a couple of others around. Neither one good for anything other than killing.

[He wonders if he should offer his blood, but decides against it. Who knows what it could do to her? He wasn't human, not completely.]

I've never been one for religion, but God's daughter, creator of the vampire race, our holy be-all, end-all.

[She'd appreciate the offer, but it's not needed at the moment. Blood is a supplement and she drank from a vein not long before coming here. Give her a week or two...]

I believe the humans refer to him as Jehovah. But they've got a lot of the rest messed up.

I don't understand his worshipers at all. Of course they're the ones who are always trying to smite me, so I guess it's a mutual hatred.

He's preferable to his son, the Omega.

And humans usually react that way to things they don't understand. Another reason to keep quite about the reality of vampires. [And others.]

I'm going to hazard a guess here... Jesus?

Oh, they understand all right, they just think the undead are abominations or creatures that are stealing the bodies of their loved ones, or keeping their loved ones souls trapped on this world so that they can't go on to their reward. Good or bad.

And this is true, yeah, but sometimes people choose to become undead.

Like I said, the humans have a few things wrong. That's one of them. Trust me when I say the Omega is nothing like that Jesus is supposed to be. The Omega is everything evil and malevolent you could imagine and then some.

[She nods, that makes sense in a way. Not that she'd want to make that choice.]

He came back from the dead in my world by accident. My father and uncle were having a fight about something and that was the result.

[He says that almost absently. He then adds.]

[At this point the rats come back. They're dragging what looks like small bags of potato chips, like the sort that come out of vending machines.]

[She could almost say the same for her real father. Symphaths are only a step up from Lessers in most eyes but not by much.]

Now we have dinner as well.

Not to well. Led to the decline of most of the other pantheons including my own. Apparently utter love and forgiveness or what not is very powerful motivator than sacrifices and giving tithes. Even if you can't see the god.

[His father is evil and Theo readily admits to it. And readily admits there's nothing he can do about it.]

Yeah. I didn't know if that would work or not.

[Symphaths have no morals compared to humans or vampires. She wouldn't even be alive if her father hadn't kidnapped and raped her mother. Evil is, you just move on.

She pets the rat on the head before taking one of the bags and opening it.]

Wonder if you could train them for specific purposes? They're small enough to be potential spies if you needed them.

Oddly things have been flipping around lately.

[On Theo's side of things, gods just have a different view of morals than humans.]

They're not trainable. It's like giving commands to a computer. I mean they act like regular rats, but only because I've put them in 'rat' mode.

[Which begs the question: if this is Theo's quick and dirty work what is his long term stuff like?]

So these two are just around in case of need?

Yeah. There was an... incident a little while ago where I ended up needing something that could spy for me as I couldn't get in so I raised me some rats. They worked out so well, I figured I might as well keep them.

They're much nicer than the minions I have back home.

[Okay. They're cult members, but still.]

Another curse or something? I heard some of them can get bad.

[Not sure how much she cares for something she can't fight. Drunk patrons, Lessers, hell monsters are nothing to deal with. Non-physical randomness? Not cool.]

As long as they don't smell like baby powder, they're all good.

This circus came into town and kidnapped people from the city to use in their freak show. I got stuck in a cage with my necromantic abilities put on over drive so I couldn't control them. People would toss rats on a string into the cage and they'd turn into zombies just by being near me. Getting loose was entertaining.

[Theo dislikes it too.]

I guess. That's still such a random thing.
