I'm signing autographs and selling my album at the record store today. I don't really care if no one's hear of me or if you can't bring anything home or whatever. I don't really have anything better to do.

I'm still kind of pissed about the not bringing anything home part. We worked really fucking hard on that CD.

[Guess who's standing awkwardly in your doorway?]

[Curt freezes for a moment. This is exactly who he wanted to see, but at the same time he wasn't quite prepared. Still, he has only so much capacity for complicated emotions and a second later he grins.]

Stephen!

[Yeah, fuck complicated emotions. He knows how this goes, he's not here for long, and just for now he's happy to see him again.]

[Curt just grabs him and kisses him. Not quite an I'm-going-to-make-out-with-you-now kiss and more just a hello, but still.]

Hey.

[God, how did he not remember this? It feels like it's been forever, and yet still so warm and familiar and a bit like coming home.

He tangles his fingers into Curt's hair, leaning into the kiss.]

[Curt wraps his arms around Stephen to pull him as close as possible and breathe in the familiar smell of him, opening his mouth to make a small meaningless noise that gets lost in the kiss.]

[He moans back into his mouth, deepening the kiss a little more. Until of course he remembers that they are basically making out directly in the front door of a music store and has to pull back to look awkward for half a second.]

Uh, maybe we should move?

[Curt looks around for a second as if he forgot where he was and drags his hand through his hair.]

Oh, yeah, prob'ly should.

[Even so, he's not to keen on letting go just yet, keeping both hands curled around the back of Curt's neck.]

Are you doing okay these days?

[Curt has no objection to this and makes no attempt to actually move.]

Okay, I guess. You know that weird little doll thing that's kind of insane? It turns out he can play the drums.

I made sure of that 'cause not gonna lie it's still the only form I can reliably get to work. Not that I can't make my computer work usually, but still.

Eh, computers are overly complicated. CDs and tapes are okay, but you just don't get the same sound from them as vinyl!
