[When video opens, it's because the device has been thrown, and turned on as is its wont. Luke is wrestling with a frankly enormous wolf. Sometimes he manages to scruff it, and push its head down, or tumble sideways and get it onto its back, but mostly the wolf seems to have the upper hand. They're snarling at each other as they wrestle: at one point, the wolf grabs Luke by his shirt and starts shaking him, but Luke rips the shirt away and tackles the wolf once more.

This goes on for about a minute until finally, the wolf knocks Luke down and pins him with one big paw on his chest, forcing him down with his entire weight. Luke goes oof, there's a pause, and then Luke is laughing. The wolf leans down and licks him across his entire face.]

Blaaaugh! [Luke wipes his face with one sleeve and pats the wolf's paw with the other. It lifts it up and steps aside, and Luke rolls onto his front, pushes up to his feet, gives the wolf a cheerful scritch about the ears, and then heads over to pick up his device.]

Oh. [He notices it's on.] Today is good, isn't it? I really am fond of today. What a terribly good curse.

[As the wolf comes over to shove his big head under Luke's arm, Luke shuts off the video.]

[Hestia is surprised, but not exactly shocked to find herself in a completely unknown City. It's not like it's completely out of the ordinary. What she is more surprised by is the strange pull she feels to the odd ginger man with the large wolf.]

Friend of yours, is he?

[FUCK giant wolf when Frobisher is still stuck in penguin form. He makes a dive to hide behind the nearest trash can.]

[Oh, hello pretty brunette lady with interesting undertones. This is someone dead magical. Luke grins at her.]

Sort of. He's also my son.

[Eh, her brother's son is a bull. Among others. It happens.]</small. Touching family reunion, then.

[A HUNT. Fenrir gets really excited and charges off after him with Luke running behind.] No, listen, you can't eat anyone here! No-one. [Fenrir knocks down the trash cans and Luke's next shout is really stern.] Fenrir! [Fenrir gives him a bit of a snotty kid ruining my fun, DAD look before snuffing and sitting down.]

Are you alright?

Yeah, yeah, I've had worse. You gotta get a leash for that guy or something.

I'm not sure I'd call it a terribly good curse.

I've had a couple already. It's a very good day. So, do you live here usually, or are you in with the crowd?

The latter, I believe.

We're in a dimensional nexus, aren't we?

I will if he continues misbehaving. [Fenrir growls and Luke raises an admonishing finger at him. Fenrir stops growling, and lies down sulkily with his head on his paws.] It must be rather slow going, like that.

Really? No? I suppose it would depend on who visits.

I get by, buddy. It's not every day I bump into wolves trying to eat me, I gotta say.

Yes we are! An incredibly fun one, no less.

[She shifts her mind to find all the fire places in the vicinity. (Over the years she's expanded this to include furnaces, ought to move with the times after all) and finds it odd to be cut off after the City limits.]

Interesting barrier technology. I would be right to assume everyone is trapped?

You are one accustomed to curses to see the good in some? Strange thing, I think. [Is he referring to you or your perception. And that just might be the faintest smile.]

[Ok, EVERYONE with one eye isn't Odin, but Luke's interest is pricked up anyway.] Not so very strange. Curse is rather a catch-all term in this place.

Is it? Most often associated with the workings of seidr and the masters of it. Such a thing frightens you not?

[infernoandhearth]

You would be, yes. Including, I think, the resident deities. That's my theory, anyway.

Deities? Which pantheon?

[infernoandhearth]

[Seidr. Luke is almost wriggling with glee. Oh, it MUST be. It could just be a one-eyed Norse king, but there are ways of telling.]

It would be rather inconvenient if it did. [Fire springs to life in one hand, and he smiles innocently at Possibly-Odin.]

No pantheon. Their own pantheon, I suppose. They're terribly bureaucratic. It's rather funny, actually.

[spearbreaker]

Ah. [A faintly indulging smile.] You have travelled here for sport or curiosity? I should think these workings are not your own.

What, they just started their own? I don't believe that's possible.

Dad! Fen! [ Frjálsa comes running over, a huge smile on her face to see someone recognisable in this strange place. ] You're looking quite young.

[infernoandhearth]

[Ok, it has to be Odin because he's clearly fucking with him.] Oh: both, but neither all at once, you know. I was just sort of brought here, really.
