Am I back? ( A beat. ) I'm back, aren't I? 'cept it's busy. Is it one of those weekends? Does that mean I'm just visiting, then?

( Yes, this is Amy Pond, sitting down on the edge of the fountain — a little older. ) How long has it been? Bucky? ( A painfully hopeful expression. ) Doctor? Doctor, are you here?

(ooc; Anything goes for Amy. Also, she's back from being canon updated, and she's a few years after The Angels Take Manhattan now. )

And do people keep turning up?

In between? Or the same people, you mean, for visitor's day? 'cause it's both, really.

Visitor's day, this is the second time I've been here.

Guess I'll just go for beer. 's a bit early for anything else still, isn't it?

[ He orders two beers, hands one over to her, his metal hand clinging against the glass of his own. ]

Wanna sit?

Yeah. Thanks. ( Heading to a table. Once they're seated, she nods to his arm. ) So, what happened there?

[ His mouth thins slightly, but it's not exactly a secret anymore. ]

Wasn't anything left of it to save after I fell.

( Tilting her head. More quietly: ) The train?

It was a plane for me. [ The minute differences shouldn't bug him, but do. ]

Oh. ( Nodding slowly. ) I'm guessing different universe, then.

I kinda hope so. It'd be better for him if it doesn't happen.

[ Death would be better, but James has been dealt his hand now. ]

Gotcha. ( Impulsively leaning over and into his space, not quite a hug but half of one, paying no regard to the metal arm. )

[ He looks startled, almost unsure as to what he should do. That's the main difference, and he smiles. ]

He must be real fond of you, huh?

I feed him alcohol, 'course he's fond of me. ( The half-hug doesn't last very long before she's drawing back again. )

[ A slight laugh. ]

I can see how that works.

It's a good deal. Y'got anyone like that? ( A beat. ) Natasha, maybe?
