He takes the rabbit though, and holds it at arm's length to peer at it for all of two seconds before the rabbit decides this is not the thing that is going to be happening right now and starts to wig out a bit and he has to quickly pull it back towards him and hold it still so he can set it down. Oncoming Storm is a bit happier tucked into Rose's chest which is a good thing because she's going to end up with rabbit scratches for sure otherwise. She sets him down next to Bad Wolf then straightens up. They got rabbits because the rabbits needed a good home. She rescued the rabbits, Doctor.]

[He forgets that occasionally, because he just remembers that he keeps coming home and there are suddenly more living creatures in the house. He's almost starting to wonder if Rose just keeps going out to collect random animals and people they know when she feels one or the both of them is getting bored again.]

Welll, I say 'doesn't make sense', I mean 'doesn't sound right', and I say 'doesn't sound right', I mean 'to very specific ears'. Has to do with the way you navigate in the air - literally translates to 'sailing the air'. Aerodynamics is usually the motion of air and how it interacts with other objects. Technically since it's the airmanship and not the flight capability I was referring to: aeronautical.

[Which is totally a deferment but he doesn't know what they're going to do with the rabbits anyway so.]

[It is entirely something he always does, and really she's fine. She feels a bit silly for not getting it but she'll recover just fine. She reaches out, fingertips against his arm and brow furrowed before she nods.]

[She gets the antiseptic out.] Could sting a bit.

[She dabs that on the scratches.]

[He and Stormy are batting at one another playfully when she comes back in, although it ceases immediately upon her return because Stormy has to go hide under the nearest piece of furniture. He takes off his jacket and rolls his sleeves up for her in the meantime.]

[Well, she is very scary you know. Particularly to Oncoming Storms. Apparently. She's trying very hard not to giggle at the way he's ow-ing. It's comical because he's saved worlds, gone through regenerations and fought wars but antiseptic on scratches turn him into a baby.]

You're all right. [She blows on the scratches, helping to soothe the sting of the antiseptic before she starts putting plasters on the worst of the wounds.]

Might save us both some pain in the future.

[That and they're rabbits. Scary is relative and by a factor of twelve to them. He's noticed her trying not to giggle and is not sure how he feels about it because honestly he would be doing the same but it hurts, so.

He watches her blow across the scratches, which does help, and he relaxes a bit while she puts the plasters on properly. (Which he will likely remove... within the next day or so. Shh.) But they do feel better having been attended to.]

Yeah. Or I could just remember not to pick them up like that again. Keep them close to the body - they seem to prefer the cocoons and warren-type cuddles.

[Definitely relative. There's rabbit scary and normal things scary. Nearly everything falls into the rabbit scary category.]

I'm sure most things would, given the option. There are, however, very few things I prefer to reciprocate the act with. Usually it's too... much sitting still. [Somewhere around talking about how it was too much sitting still, he started off to figure out where Bad Wolf had hopped off to, the irony of the timing entirely lost on him.] But it works with the right person. Stillness. Try teaching a bunny that.

[Reason #2 (or 2985) they have rabbits: they're constantly wandering off and giving the Doctor something to do. 3 and 4 tend to go along with that and involve a good deal of chewing things up.]

Guess m'countin' myself lucky then. If we're tryin' to teach the bunnies stillness, it's goin' to take a good deal longer than this afternoon.

[By this point he's found one of them, he doesn't even care which, under and behind a piece of furniture that he promptly dropped to his belly in front of, slithered underneath as much as he could, and then reached a hand forward to pet the little shithead on the floppy ears and such. He's talking to it but it's muffled. He turns his head turns the underside that faces the room to talk to her and it's much clearer, but still a little muffled.]

Ages, aeons, longer than this afternoon. I'd settle for some good old fashioned self-identification. Like, 'Bad Wolf, come here.'

[Rose is wandering a bit in the same room looking for where the other bunny has wandered off.]

I'll slice up some apples. See if that'll bribe 'em into learnin'.

[He's still petting this one under the couch, so the words are muffled.]

[Her voice is a bit distant, coming from the kitchen. She finds the grapes and the apples. She gets the apple slicer out and there's some thudding and slicing sort of noises.]

Ought to be able to bribe 'em to come to us then reinforce it with more fruit. Even if they're brains are pea sized.

Positive re-enforcement! That'll work! [Considering negative re-enforcement is likely to... injure them, or traumatise them horrifically.] It's really either that or neutral re-enforcement, which I'm not really sure you can do. Is that just ignoring someone, or is that negative? I think that's negative. Is there a way to neutrally re-enforce something?
