[It's hard to tell what the gentleman is thinking as a pair of sunglasses cover half his face. From the tone of his voice it's easy to tell that he's exasperated, tired and pissed off. He's dressed in a very expensive business suit that is currently a bit singed, has some blood on it, and very rumpled. Clearly someone has been busy before they arrived here and hasn't had a chance to change.]

Another kidnapping? Really. Don't you people ever get tired of it?

I have to say it's pretty good for a kidnapping. I mean, I didn't even feel the transfer and that's damn hard to do.

[He pauses and looks around to get a better sense of his surroundings.]

Are you fair folk? It doesn't feel like Faery.

[That said, he shrugs dismissing the matter out of hand. Faery or not, he's still been kidnapped after all. That's what needs to be dealt with.]

Anyway. It'd be best to let me go back right now for everyone's sake. My father will be pissed off when he finds me missing and his temper is already frayed and my fiancee will be pissed off and her temper is even more frayed.

This seems like a nice place, if odd. So instead of pissing off the god of the dead and the warmage just let me go home and I won't mention it. This will save a lot of lives in the long run.

While I think these assholes are just calling themselves deities, I don't think they're these fey people. Although, the more you talk, the more it sounds possible.

I don't think there's a lake that's always coated in ice, but there's creepy ass stuff to find here, anyway.

You know how to get in and out of this Faery place?

The lake of ice is in the Duchey of Ice Glass, it's a particular part of Faery. What you'd call north, if there was a north. It's like a different country.

Knowing and being able to do it are two different things. The problem is a lot of times each location has a very specific set of ways to get into and out of an area. Some can only be accessed on the third full harvest moon of the year, or by chanting a rhyme or if you're invited in, or at tea time, if you've brought a gift for the host. It sounds like this is one of those places that let people in and out at the owner's behest.

I was hoping maybe you could tell me something that could get us out of here. But trying to figure out which of those might work.... And there's a lot of them, huh?

Imagine you can create a lock any possible way you wanted using any possible method. Even if it's something as ridiculous as hopping on your foot three times and saying 'let me in, let me in, let me in'. Now imagine you're someone who seems to be rather like these deities.

But there's an entire country's worth of them. And some of them are just sadistic or think it's funny to watch other people make fools of themselves or they really don't want anyone to leave or come in.

The possibilities are annoyingly infinite.

About seven, maybe eight months. I've got friends I know from my world here. That helps.

Interesting is one way to put it. Dangerous, frustrating and bloody at times is another way to put it.

I'm used to bloody and dangerous, at least, though here things are quieter than back home. Usually.

What was back home like?

Uh, well.... My normal day to day life was just going to school and issues with my parents.

But then things got kinda weird and I ended up in a war with Heaven and Hell. And we're all kinda fighting against God. Or each other. Or another faction. It was pretty hectic!

You have to be careful fighting against gods. Especially if they're at full power. But I'm guessing you've discovered this.
