[Rapunzel is sitting on her bed, knees pressed against her chest, frying pan in hand. She's got some nasty scratches on her ankles.]

Uhm...Charlie? I...I don't think I'm gonna be coming back in to work today, if that's okay...I want to stay here, where there aren't any tree roots trying to kill me...

[She looks around, nervously gripping her frying pan tighter. She's hoping it'll be safer inside, hoping nothing will try to grab her in there...

Suddenly, the chord from a nearby lamp whips out, wrapping around her ankle, trying to pull her toward the window. Rapunzel screams, swinging her frying pan, and the video goes black.]

[ The door bursts open, Leah quickly coming through and zapping the lamp with her magic. Tendrils of green light twist around its body and slam it into the far wall. ]

[Rapunzel smiles, giving the lamp one more smack with the pan. She's gonna need a new lamp.]

My ankles a bit scratched up, but I'm okay...

[ She turns suddenly, zapping Loki's clock radio, which had followed her across the apartment to Rapunzel's room. ]

The apartment is unsafe.

Everywhere's unsafe...

[ Leah looks around, thinking... ]

Rapunzel-! Get as high off the ground as you can, if it really is tree roots they shouldn't be able to reach up above ground.

It's not just tree roots, Mako! It's anything vinelike, I think! The wires of the appliances in the house are coming to life too!

Leah and I are on the roof now, and it seems to be okay up here...

Some minor scratches but I'll survive. I'm at the apartment, a few of us managed to get to high ground before it got any worse.
