What are your thoughts on relationships in the City, given that people might leave at any time, or return without memories? Not necessarily romantic relationships only; I'm sure the lack of stability has a similar effect on friendships.

It always hurts to lose people when they leave. Especially when we don't get any warning.

But holding back because we don't want to get hurt isn't any better. Especially if this is our only chance to know people.

I don't think it's selfish. It seems only natural to me. If you begrudged them their return, maybe that would be selfish.
