Wow, that curse the other day was really hectic, huh? Even though I'm still not sure what the fighting was over exactly, it's good to see that's over with.

[Amu just lets out a sigh] This month seemed to go by pretty quickly, at least for me, anyway. It's so weird, it only just hit me that today is my birthday which officially makes me 16— I never thought I'd still be in this place to celebrate yet another birthday.

Not to mention that the week after will make it the anniversary of my fourth year in The City too. It kind of makes my head hurt if I think about it too much...well the fact I've been in this place that long. Overall, I guess this place has it's moments where it's not so bad— meeting new people and all that but at the same time it makes me feel a little homesick.

...Okay I really didn't mean for that to get depressing. [She laughs slightly, although it's a bit awkward because how does she even do this] I guess I got lucky that there isn't some curse going on today either.

A good curse? Yeah something like that wouldn't have been so bad.

You mean on previous birthdays? You know, now that I think about it, I don't think I have.

That's really sad, then... At least you can enjoy this one normally, though.

Do you have plans yet?

Well it wasn't anything bad on those days either, I guess it's more like skipped over?

Plans? [she just shakes her head] None so far.

[ Nodding ] I guess that's better than something bad happening... So what do you normally do on your birthdays here?

Mm. Well usually my friends organized surprise parties the previous years.

Maybe someone is throwing one for you now.

You think so? Well if they are...I would have found out by now at least.

It could be a really good surprise...

Maybe, though I think my chara would have told me— they're not the best at keeping things quiet.

It's okay. Like I said it's not so bad here sometimes, but yeah it is a long time.

Yeah, I have.

Most of the people I knew when I arrived aren't exactly here anymore.

Yes. I haven't even been here a year yet and a lot of the people I met when I first arrived aren't here any longer, either.

Yeah, people leave pretty often— it's hard to tell who will even stay.

But some people are still here from when you first arrived? It sounded that way, at least. That means they've been here just as long. It's almost scary.

Mm, there are! Well not that I know personally, but they've either been here as long as me...or even longer than that maybe.
