Just because you've resigned yourself to there not being a way to sort all of this instantly, doesn't mean there ISN'T one.

I shall just bargain to have it all repaired. I do clean up my messes, you know, when they're my fault. [When he can.] Anyway, it doesn't matter. I intend to fix it, not make it happen.

[Bruce's level of concern can easily compensate for Luke's lack.]

You also want to arrange my sex life. I'm already seeing a problem.

Are you really? Where? One begets the other, in my mind.

I could have come in naked. And it wasn't a kiss, it was you standing utterly motionless whilst I kissed you.

I would have called security if you'd come in naked and my lips were very definitely involved, so it was a kiss. You didn't demand active or enthusiastic participation until after the fact. [Not that Luke would have gotten it.]

I don't suppose you must have kissed anyone ever if you're of the opinion that qualified.

I'd tell you that I was a 42 year old virgin, but that would probably just make you even more interested in things that are none of your business.

That doesn't even get a "nice try," Luke. You're some kind of trickster, and I'll work out which one.

[Sigh. It's kind of endearing in a frustrating kind of way.] Let's back up a little. You say I have a lot of things on my plate. What do you mean by that?

You always have to be paying attention to everything. You have all these things you can't do anymore like getting angry, or excited, I assume, so you can't do anything that might make you feel those things. So you'd always be having to make sure you know what to avoid, and what might lead to what you have to avoid, not to mention being ready to not react to things that are unavoidable. And that's even without you feeling guilty for anything you've done. Your list.

I'd like to fix that.

You don't know me nearly as well as you think. I don't have to avoid getting angry. Trying to avoid it was part of my problem at first.

I know. I've barely known you three weeks, if that. Do you store it elsewhere?
