Though it has been millenia since I have last been on Midgard, I have to confess that this landscape does not look at all like I expected it would be. The locals seem...willing to help, at the very least, but deluded into thinking that this small box I am now operating will help my message get to you.

Still, it does not hurt to try.

[Takes a deep breath, lets it out with a sigh as she sits down beside him, mimicking him; her face in her hands for the briefest moment. Frustration doesn't often win, but this is confusing.

She looks at him again.]

Is it this place? How can it be that one minute ago I was mad at your brother for being selfish and envious and now I find that he is dead?

What - [Exhales slowly.] What happened?

It's all my fault, Sif. [He didn't imagine that their reunion would end up like this. He didn't know that she didn't know about Loki, as far as she was concerned he was just jealous.]

[Hearing all this feels like something plummets in her stomach, and she knows that Thor would not lie about this. Thor is not the liar.

[The touch makes her jump out of the pit of thoughts she'd lost herself in; grateful for it, she smiles softly, though still concerned.]

I did not lie when I said you have been missed, my dear friend. Give me time, I will adjust to this place, and maybe the news.

[A pit in her stomach tells her the maybe is a big one.] You are...different.

[She glances at him for a moment. The option he gives her is a respite from all the knowledge she's gained in too short a time. It's a welcomed chance to breathe and recollect herself, and she has missed him, not for the days that have passed since she'd seen him last, but for the thought of perhaps never getting to see him again.

She recovers one friend, and it seems that she will lose another. Knowing that, so soon after she crossed his orders, is not easy. Rejoicing will not be an easy thing; the thought will always be there. But, she'll try.]
