[accidental video] - just after midnight

[The video turns on as a device is dropped to the ground with a lurch. A great deal of barking is heard before the video clears. A very orange dog is barking up a storm, alternating with jumping back and growling. He's standing next to the TARDIS, and jumping up on his hind legs to clammer at the door with his claws. He eventually gives up, whimpering as he stands back.

Oh. Just great.]









[ooc: Turlough is a pharaoh hound today! Action outside the TARDIS, or around town once Turlough decides to give up and go for a walk.]

[Why does he always pick the day where strange curses are happening to go for a walk? He's not a dog. Yet. But there seem to be a lot of dogs out and about. He eyes Turlough suspiciously.]

Are you a cursed dog, or just a normal dog?

[A pause.]

Why am I talking to a dog in the first place? This is ridiculous.

[Turlough barks, and leans back on his haunches. Well he can't talk. What did you except, Ryan?]

Can you communicate at all?

[rudeandginger]

[Another bark, and a low growl. Would he be doing this if he could talk?]

This is an unfortunate curse. I certainly hope it wears off soon.

[He finds it slightly amusing, though, apparently.]

[Another growl, lower and more dangerous this time. Watch yourself, buddy.]

[Chekov takes a break from chasing leaves--he keeps trying not to get distracted, but it's so hard--when he smells someone he knows. It's odd, really, recognizing people by smell; it's not as if he knows what everyone smells like when they're not dogs.

Turlough is much taller and considerably less fluffy and probably in a bad mood, but Chekov scampers over to him, stubby tail wagging.]

[Turlough growls. Not enough to be a threat, just a warning.]

[In response, Chekov lays down right where he is and gives Turlough a thoroughly sad look.]

[rudeandginger]

[Well then. Since he's agreeing with the pack order here, he supposes he isn't a threat. Turlough's ear perk up again and he starts poking at Chekov with his nose, smelling him out tentatively.]

[Chekov rolls over submissively. Turlough's a very large dog; he's not a stupid puppy.]

[Nathan doesn't know what the fuck this dog thinks he's doing, but it looks like fun. You need any help clammering at that door, Turlough? Well, he's getting it regardless. Nathan jumps up next to him, barking and scratching he TARDIS door enthusiastically.]

[Oi, this is his door! Turlough quickly turns his attention on the newest dog, growling as he tackles him away from the TARDIS.]

[Wow, you dick. This is the repayment he gets for trying to help? Nathan hits the ground with a yelp, but it's less than a second before he's launching himself back at the other dog with a snarl.]

[Oh good, he feels like a fight. He ponces back on the other dog, snarling and biting at his fur.]

[It's too bad for Nathan he's just as pathetic as a dog as he is a human when it comes to fighting. Even with the extra weight he has on he ends up back on his back pretty quickly, though he's not going down without getting a few more snaps in first. Watch your back, Turwoof. Or more accurately, your throat.]

[Jack hasn't checked the network yet today, but he has noticed an inordinate number of dogs running around. He hasn't really put much thought into whether it's a curse or not; he's been too preoccupied with giving them scritches and throwing things for them and generally being distracted from whatever it was that brought him out of the apartment in the first place.

He really likes dogs, okay.

So when he comes across Turwoof Turlough in the street, he approaches with a smile and without any thought that he might actually know this dog.]

Hey, boy.

[rudeandginger]

[Finally, someone who might recognise him. Turlough wastes no time jumping up on Jack, whining piteously. Halp?]

Hey, whoa— [Jack doesn't recognize him yet, unfortunately. But the whining is still a concern.] Something wrong?

[rudeandginger]

[He barks, pawing at Jack's chest. Come on, who else do you know is this ginger and gangly?]

[Careful, Turlough, or you'll ruin the cable-knit with those doggy claws. Not that Jack is particularly concerned with it at the moment, of course; his first response is to scritch behind the dog's ears, but after he thinks for a moment...]

Uh... You're not a cursed dog, are you? [Not that he's sure how he can tell the answer, but there's no harm in asking.]

[This yellow dog's barrel rolling straight for the pharaoh hound after taking a corner too fast. In broad daylight too.]

[Turlough is hit full-sideways, falling over with a yelp. He turns on the other dog, growling. Oh no you didn't.]

[Oh shit oh shit. Woof woof whine! That's Freddy's way of saying "I didn't mean it!" He's not cowering under the other dog or anything, but he is a smaller dog 8(]

[He uses his height to his advantage, leaning over Freddy to land a few bits on his scruff. Not hard, just showing his authority.]
