bedsidemanners: they really are a scream (the addams family)

[text] i don't find this stuff amusing any more

None of you made particularly good angels yesterday. A little too much righteous indignation and not enough regard for personal safety.

Let's talk about disappearances. vanishings, if you'll humor me. I'm not particular. Not only from this place, I've heard enough over the last year about that. i mean regular disappearances, supposed conspiracies and cover ups, all sorts of other nonsense. I hear there's a whole market for that sort of thing on Assiah, and thus far I don't see the appeal. Enlighten me.

No, there's probably a lot of other reasons. That was just one I considered.

Come on, the answer came from me. How much were you expecting?

I'm sure other people that actually get into that stuff could provide more examples.

That's probably best with me.

But now you got me thinking about it, the other reasons people come up with all of that stuff and the workings of it.

Like how does this crap even get started? Someone get paranoid about why everyone gets sick at a certain time so they suddenly decide the government did it? Do they hate authority that much? Or does the government, rulers, kingdom, whatever, serve as a faceless entity and make it easier to lay blame to them?

No. Some authority, stability and law is necessary, I think. It's when it becomes overbearing, a dictatorship, for example, that we could do without it.

[Yeah. Setsuna doesn't even what to touch the government of Heaven. Too sticky of a topic. Too close to the issues with YHWH.]

I wasn't there very long, and I didn't get to see much of how they governed themselves, but it seemed chaotic. And yet, way more laid back than what I'm used to.

Well, yeah. That's why it was that way.

But guys like that, I don't think they would do well to a lot of control and rules, anyway. They might just revolt again and make another place for themselves.
beyourarmy: (What the hell?!)

[Amazingly enough bites his tongue on that one - they would just go right back where they started.]

Yeah. They'd need it.

Anyway, I should probably head off now. [Before he says anything else! It's for the best.]

Yeah, bye!
