[ Marie Delacroix has picked the worst possible night to decide that she's taking herself out for drinks. Isolated in a lab all day, only going home to change her clothes, she's missed all of the warning signs.

All she wants is a gin and tonic and a cigarette.

That's all she wants, and upon achieving this lofty goal unfortunately finds herself in the arms of her neighbor. The whole situation moves from elated to irritating and despite being the one to make the first move, her drink ends up in the man's face while she snatches up her cigarettes and leaves. ]

[ He hates this curse. There's a handful of people in the City he'd prefer to kiss. Disgusting humans aren't on that list. He'd rather bite their faces off. Nearly did, at work. Thus he's exited The Raven to avoid messes ( spawned by his own foul temper). Alone on the streets, cool air clearing his head, he starts feeling frisky again. He leans outside a bar, watching a parade of meals go in and out. A sweet-looking girl with a tipsy walk distracts him for a moment. She'd make a fine snack. Karl almost sets off after her smartly clicking heels as she wobbles along. ]
