[He'd stayed inside all day, well aware of the curse and its unfortunate effects, but by the evening, he'd become stir crazy, and had decided that it was safe enough to venture out on a walk. After all, he wasn't affected by the curse... was he?

As it turned out, it was a poor choice. Walking by the fountain, he noticed several people, and did his best to avoid them. He wasn't feeling particularly victorious, but he also didn't know what counted as a victory. Better to keep his distance, though muttering to himself would probably draw curious people over.]

Damn. This is ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. I shouldn't have to feel uneasy simply stepping outside.

[OOC: And yes, his version of muttering is definitely loud enough that people walking by might hear it. Have at it, and make his life difficult!]

[He was really really not expecting that. Though maybe he should have been. After a few seconds, he pulls away, shaking his head.]

Exciting enough to be worthy of that? I have a hard time believing it.

[Someone who can hear that muttering is agreeing with a great amount of venom.]

[He turns around, glad to see someone agreeing with him -- though he keeps his distance, just in case the curse causes him to do something stupid.]

It's nice to speak with someone who agrees. The others I've spoken to have found this curse altogether too enjoyable.

[Her disdain is palpable, and she herself has remained seated with her body angled away from him. Ridiculous curse.]

[He's glad to see that someone is taking precautions to avoid the curse. Smart woman.]

[Her expression remains cross (perpetually, she is perpetually cross) but after a moment she holds a hand out to the side for the perfunctory shaking.]

[A woman after his own heart, then. His own expression could be described as a mix between grumpy and disconcerted, but he shakes her hand firmly anyway.]

[Raikov happens to be walking by when he hears the man muttering to himself. He slowly approaches, playing it cool. It's hard to tell if he's cursed or not.]

It's not all that bad. The weather's nice, people are happy...
