Unless the ruler of your world is a tyrant and evil oppressor and you are actually some sort of resistance fighter. Of course, at that point, you would not wish to take over the world so much as liberate it. And some people might think the world is ruled by tyrants and in need of being freed, but they would wish to take it over and that might be considered bad intentions- you know, this is getting complicated.

Do you think someone who was planning on taking over the world would honestly be that upfront about it?

What sort of magic? There are rather different kinds from various worlds in this place.

You would be quite surprised how often people make their world conquering intentions known. Loudly. Clearly. Often with banners.

[A pause.] I had not considered compatibility, I suppose a test would be in order. But, anything compatible with a Norse god.

It's been a touch too long since I studied any Norse mythology to be able to give you a definitive answer. But magic in my world is largely based around spellcasting and incantation. The simpler spells can be cast simply with enough intent.

Simply taking an interest. I had an apprentice back home, but he was a rather special case.
