[ The first thing that comes into view is the inside of a jacket pocket, fingers grabbing at it in their attempt to rummage deeper, and then a blur of colour as it slides out and drops to the floor with a thud. ]

Hey, Phil, you seen the--?

[ Further noises of things being moved around and a close-up of a spectacular jeans-glad ass later with the treads of boots that might be familiar to some, and Clint comes into view, grinning triumphantly with a dog lead held up in one hand and a pleased looking dog butting at the other. ]

Call off the back-up, I got it. [ And this is far too victorious - no, but, really, he lives like a slob, finding anything before Coulson makes him tidy up is an impossible mission - and it's clearly deserving of him crawling over to the couch, knee nudging the device along with him, and throwing his arms up around what he can reach of Phil, pulling him down, and kissing him right on the mouth for everyone to see. ] Leave the repeats of Supernanny and come with? Trouble might be out there waiting for us, and we all know how that ends.


[ OOC: Feel free to throw people at him while he's out and about with Fury. ]

[ This, at least, is one kiss that Phil doesn't mind, so he's kissing back for a moment.

A brief moment, before drawing back to make sure the device isn't recording. Which it is. ]

I walked him earlier. I'm not sure I'm ready to brave the streets again.

[ Clint will never, ever complain about him reciprocating the advances he throws out, even if it is a curse, he's grateful for the excuse to do it. ]

That's not what he told me. [ Crawling up onto the cushions, sitting on his legs. ] Do I want to ask? [ He does. ]

[debrief]

No, I don't think you do. [ Dry, but he's settling his hands over Clint's hips anyway. ]

[bettercallit]

What happens in Budapest stays in Budapest. [ He's leaning against him, Fury nosing at the lead still dangling from his hand. ]

And what happens on a curse day stays on a curse day, figuratively speaking?

[bettercallit]

That's the spirit, sir. [ He suddenly thinks that they should watch Fight Club together sometime. ] Should I be nervous about entering the outside world?

[debrief]

That depends on how attached you are to the idea of monogamy on curse days. It's a kissing fest out there.

[ Assuming, because he refuses for it to be any other way, that this depands monogamy. ]

[bettercallit]

For what it's worth, sir, monogamy is the course of action I prefer to take. [ Backing it up, Clint releases the lead, Fury nudging and pawing at it contently enough.

But contrary to what some might claim, Clint doesn't sleep around, with or without someone in the picture, and especially not since he met Phil. He knows how difficult it is for most to find and maintain a close connection in their line of work, and Phil means more to him than that, which is why he fears messing it up somehow. ]

[debrief]

[ Capturing Clint's wrist, squeezing briefly. ] I know.

[bettercallit]

[ A smile forming, Clint turns his gaze down, slowly twisting his hand around in the grip, and he slides their fingers together. He's still not sure of the boundaries, if there are any. ] S'long as you do.

[debrief]

[ Not when it comes to this. Phil smiles, small and private. ] Yeah.

[bettercallit]

[ Pushing himself up, legs still folded somewhat awkwardly beneath himself, Clint brings them level enough and leans in, a smile in his eyes as he kisses him. It's not much more than a lingering peck, chaste and sweet, but he's going for extra reassurance. ] Good.

[debrief]

[ Phil lets his eyes slide closed and kisses back; soft pressure. Reassurance. ]

Just try not to feel too accomplished while out there.

[bettercallit]

Don't worry, sir, I plan to hate every minute of it.

[debrief]

That is a plan I can support fully. [ With a self-deprecating smile. He isn't exactly a jealous person, but still. ]

[bettercallit]

[ He takes note of it all the same, smiling at the thought, because he's never really had anyone to feel even remotely possessive over him.

He presses a soft kiss to the lowest patch of skin exposed above the collar of his shirt, trailing them up, and then he catches the flesh part of his ear gently between his teeth, whispers. ] I promise to use as much restraint as is physically possible.

[debrief]

[ Phil has felt some sort of possessiveness for Clint for a while: his asset, his archer, for all that Clint's also worked with other handlers. There's few people at SHIELD that Phil cares about on this level - Nick Fury, Jasper Sitwell, Natasha, Clint.

Clint is the only one that he cares about more, but he hasn't allowed himself any of that for a long time.

He sighs, softly, tilting his head aside. ] I appreciate it.

[bettercallit]

You should, no one else'd get the same promise. [ It's dry, delivered with a quirk to his lips, but true all the same. ] You've got permission if you wanna stamp my ass as your personal property.

[debrief]

I think just knowing is enough. ( Said with half a grin, but he does mean it. It's enough to know. )

[bettercallit]

As long as you do, sir. [ It's pointed, but said with the usual subtle cheek he manages to work into many conversations with his superiors. Leaning closer without being too obvious about it, Clint closes his eyes, the smile lingering on his lips. ] Suddenly not all that eager to go out, now, anyway.

[debrief]

( Not too obvious, but obvious enough for Phil, who's closing the difference between them. )

Fury needs to be walked.

[bettercallit]

[ Looking as if he's got no intention to get up, although he can jump up and move on a moment's notice, he's drawn in that much closer. ]

Is that an order?

[debrief]

Do I need to make it one? ( He doesn't particularly want for Clint to get up. )

[bettercallit]

No, sir. [ Still, he doesn't move immediately, building slowly up to it until he knows he should just get it over with, and Fury does keep looking up, eyes hopeful from where he lies facing them on the floor. ] If you don't hear from me within an hour, send back-up.

[debrief]

I'll come rescue you myself. ( A beat. ) But I'd rather not have to.

[bettercallit]

[ Laughing, Clint finally wriggles himself free and pushes up to his feet, but not before clapping him on the shoulder. ] It's okay, sir, I'll make sure I return in tact so you don't have to move.

[ With that, he clips the lead onto Fury, throws on a jacket, and leaves with a flash of a smirk before closing the door behind him. ]

[Bruce's face is triumphant when Fury licks his hand. He's used to animals and people recoiling from him. ]

Made a friend, Banner?

[ He's grinning, and it's not as if he doesn't grin, but this is odd, unusual for him, and he's stepping closer. ] Everyone needs friends. I'm so proud of you.

[ Which is when he lifts both arms up, wraps them around his middle and squeezes, and he kisses him on the mouth, a long, lingering thing that might make some blush. ]

[It's enough to make Bruce blush. Kisses aren't something he gets a lot of practice at and yeah for a moment he is kissing back.]


That's a different definition of proud.

[ Clint's grinning when he steps back, still closer than he probably should be, and a part of him is grateful for the fact that awkward washes over him more often than not. ]

This isn't the usual response?

[Bruce shakes his head. He's not quite his articulate self.]

No. People usually shake my hand and then walk away quickly.

[Oh look, it's that guy from when they were teenagers. That was exciting.]

[ He remembers that curse well for several reasons. ]

It's always a good day when I find something.

[It was certainly memorable.]

It's refreshing to see people enjoying a curse for once. Unless that's how you often celebrate finding lost objects?

Making contact usually isn't the standard procedure.

[Hey. It's that ginger witch you know, all dressed up because she's working in a high-end clothing boutique when she's not a bar waitress. Which means, you know, heels—normally not a problem, but she's juggling a coffee order for the staff because she's a good person.

Don't run into her. Or, rather, do.]

[ Clint is so engrossed in the woman who is currently raving at a man for throwing himself at her, entertaining him, that he comes close to running right into her.

Luckily, he manages to stop in time, which is all he needs to feel victorious.

With a grin, Clint works around the coffee containers to avoid spillage and locks his arms around her middle, pulling her close enough to press soft lips to hers, a lingering kiss of victory is just what this requires. ]

[Well, thank Merlin for quick reflexes because Ginny holds the carrier thing of coffee well out of the way and sets it right on top of a low wall, allowing an all-clear for maximum makeouts and no spilled coffee whatsoever. And that, in of itself, is a victory for her and look at that, it's a double-victory kiss which means it's definitely going to linger and definitely going to deepen just a fraction.

Yup. City life. It's a good time.]

[ There might be the quietest of pleased sounds from the back of his throat, and he's sliding on arm around her waist and the other reaching up to cradle her cheek, head tilting to avoid further nose bumping as he gets the angle just right.

And he's in no hurry to really end it. ]

[Ginny has met and gotten to know far too many people by kissing them. It's like the City likes playing this absurd game with her. Not that she minds terribly, she supposes in hindsight; it's not like it's awful. Especially when someone is a good kisser and this is getting rather intimate rather quickly—she'd dip him if she could, but she's on the petite side of things so she just rises up on her toes to deepen the kiss even more, one hand curling into the front of his shirt and the other through his hair.

Someone's got to pull away to breathe, right? ... right?




Ginny does. Finally. And she's about as bright red as her hair, too, though largely unruffled otherwise. She clears her throat.]

Oh. Well then.

[What are the odds that she'd be walking Thor and Fandral again? Slim! Which is why she isn't. She is, however, grabbing a cup of 'to go coffee' from the café in the park, so that is when and why they meet. She recognizes the dog first.]

Insatiable, are you?

I like to think so.

[ Clint smirks, closing the distance between them, and Fury scrambles to try and jump up at her. ]

I did mean the dog. [She smirks at him, leaning down to pet Fury, scratching him behind his ears.] Good boy.

Get a dog and lose all the attention. [ He watches her with him, smiling, Fury wagging his tail a mile a minute. ] You a fan?

An acquaitance. [A favoured left leg, too, it seems, considering how much the dog is rubbing against her.] We have met before, Fury and I. [She smiles, suddenly, as if at a private joke - Fury and War.] We mix well together.

[bettercallit]

[ If he thinks her odd, the most he shows of it is a funny little smile. ] Coulson been showing him off behind my back?

He's an easy one to please.

[asofwar]

Thor had him before. [Please - he's the odd one here. But even so, she greets the smile with one of her own, a little how do you not know this? expression.]

[ He's wearing the look of someone who realises he should have considered that. ] I was testing you.

[ He looks about him, not at all sarcastic, and flails his arms around him. ] I thought there was something missing.
