I wouldn't say I'm equipped to deal with freak weather conditions, but I've spent half my life living with the seasons running backwards, and back home the houses used to spray snow scenes in their windows in midsummer.

It's nice to feel seasonal for once. The blizzard's dying off. Anyone else up for checking out the slopes?

We have slopes? Or just snow covered hills? I'm up for it, either way!

Because I grew up on the other side of the world.

Hills are just where the earth gets bumpy. You need to head up the mountain to find a decent ski run.

Never been there. I just know the English settled in Africa and Australia, and since you're blond like me, I figured you might be from one of those.

The English got around a bit more than that. I'm Australian, but not English. Lived there too for a while, though.

Parents were Czech, I'm Australian. Blonde hair and blue eyes don't tell you much, in the end.

It's a big place. We've got birds and animals you've never seen before.
