008 ♛ Video | Justice is Served

[pratful]

[ Arthur holds a finger up to his lip as he looks into his video screen. ] Merlin doesn't know it yet, but in just one moment, I'm going to dump this bucket of snow on top of Merlin's head. [ Fair's only fair after that stunt Merlin pulled a few days ago. ]

[ with a grin, Arthur tucks his phone under his arm and picks up said bucket full of snow, now somewhat slushy from being inside the house for a few minutes. It's a big house! And, with careful movements, he pushes open the door to Merlin's bedchambers and creeps inside.

Beware of the screams after a few moments. It's only Merlin getting the rude awakening he so definitely deserves!

And with a dash, Arthur runs out of the room and cuts the feed. Justice has been served! ]

Wallow? He's not wallowing, he's just lazy, and he can't lie around in bed all day.

He's gotta get up at some point! Then it'll be his fault for not doing it earlier.

[ yes, sure Merlin. Just butt in on Arthur's conversation. ]

Water first thing in the morning, and you can rest assured that wasn't the first time he's done something like that either. It's amazing I've let him get away with it as much as I have.

[ how often had his bathwater been tampered with? too often to count. ]

What, he just waterballoons you all the time out of nowhere?

We didn't have balloons back in Camelot. No, it was much simpler then that. A plain bucket of water.

[ and his bed clothes were damp for days or so it felt like. It's not so easy drying out a mattress. ]

Huuuuh, he really didn't look like the bully type. You should've done something way earlier!

[ oh, he did. That's how they met ] I will admit, I have done a few good things in my time. [ Who's humble? Certainly not Arthur! Although, Merlin always seems to rise to the occasion. He still isn't sure how Merlin did it all. ]

They couldn't have been that bad if he's still dumping water on you! Seriously, how do you take that...

[pratful]

Merlin's just a bit dull. [ Arthur leans in and whispers ] I really only ever keep him around as a favor to Gaius. I do think he'd have problems getting a job anywhere else. [ And, well, Arthur can't exactly say he enjoys chasing Merlin around the room first thing in the morning, even if it is a rude awakening. ]

That's still some favor!

[ he blinks ] I always say exactly what I mean. [ which is hardly ever, and it's not as though Merlin doesn't have a job right now as it is... What's the harm? ]

Yeah, I kinda figured, but he can probably still hear this!
