Nothing should ever get in the way of ice cream.

It seems counterproductive to eat ice cream when there is a blizzard on the way, especially considering it will be warmer again after the weekend.

Yes. Just as there is usually a weekend of sunshine and warmth in the middle of winter.

If you get ice cream while it's cold out, you could make a cone last for hours.

That is a good argument in favour of it.
