[There's the sound of water splashing and then Steve is actually - laughing? Is he laughing? He is!]

[ He grins, clapping him on the shoulder. ]

Bombed by Cap A, it's a privilege. [ Shouldering his weapon for a minute. ] I really hope this doesn't disappear at midnight. I think it belongs to me.

If it does, I think we can probably buy one for you. I wouldn't ask you to give up one of your dames.

She just needs a sea name or something. [ Steve, Steve, you are his favourite. ]

Think we can lure Howard out? [ Wicked, wicked smirk. ]

You're better at that than I am.

[A pause and he tilts his head]

You know I think it might sober him up. Do him some good, get some fresh air.

Burst of water right in the face. [ And he mimes it, because he is an idiot, looking down an imaginary scope on top of his pistol. ]

I am totally on board with that.

Maybe we should aim for somewhere a little less tender at first.

[ He's teasing. ] Pay back for every time he calls me Barney.

He could call you James Buchanan.

[Steve is just saying.]

He could just not call me.

[ Glancing over Steve's shoulder. Voice lowering. ] Someone's about to try and get you in the back, sweetheart.

But then he-

[Oh. Oh. Pivots and shoots first, soaking someone to the skin. They look shocked for a second, but then they crack up and squirt Steve back before running]

[ Bucky's practically in hysterics this time, leaning against his back for a second. ]

Cute. Thinking they can out run you. [ Bucky's beaming, stupid and giddy. ] I need to fill this back up.

I'm almost out, too.

[Steve is trying not to laugh again]

Come with?

[He nods and goes with, shouldering his own gun so it sits just on top of his shield]

You got balloons filled with water?

Yessir. [ In a satchel that's maybe soaking through at the bottom, but who cares, he doesn't have anything else in it. ]

[Steve grins]

All right, had to keep track of our weaponry, right?

I am prepared and ready for war. [ Which would sound how it's supposed to, but he's got the faint hint of twelve year old Brooklyn kid about him. ]

You're good, soldier.

[The reach a hose - it's neutral territory, everyone is filling up here]

You'll make staff sergeant in no time.

Remind me to write to my darling straight away. [ Unscrewing the bottle part of his gun. ]

[Steve just looks over, eyebrows slightly raised, and he's filling his own bottle]

[ Bucky's just smirking at him in that rather obvious way he has of doing so.

He's teasing. ]

[Steve takes out a smaller pistol and squirt-

Hits Bucky in the face]
