[firstaid]

[The device turns on, obviously with its owner unaware of it doing so. The pink haired girl is in the kitchen pulling out a cookie pan of croquettes and placing them on the counter to cool for a bit as she removes the pink oven mitt from her hand. Picking up a fork, she impales one, then brings it up to his lips as she blows on it to cool it down. Taking a bite, she chews on it for a moment before proceeding to look sad.]

They don’t… taste the same…

[And the device turns off on its own.]

[It would keep her mind off of trying to be sad.]

[ He walks further into the kitchen. ]

That's your call. I can help you prepare if you want to, though.

[Her voice starts to lose her normal enthusiasm. It's hard to keep up pretending for this long. But she feels awful that she's sad because... she'll see Yuri again when she goes home. She knows that.]

What would you like for lunch, Tyr?

[blackshadow]

I don't mind.

[ Tyr notices, but he's not sure what to do... Part of him is still in denial that Yuri is even gone. ]

How about a salad? We can have it with the croquettes...

[firstaid]

That sounds wonderful.

[With that, she moves to the fridge and pulls out a bag of lettuce.]

Should we add tomatoes and red onions? Both of those sound really good. Oh... and ranch dressing.

[She's trying to be energetic, but it all comes off as fake.]

[blackshadow]

Sure... And some olives and cheese...

[ He can't even pretend he doesn't know what's up. ]

... You know, he might come back in a little while...like you and Rita did. So don't worry so much...

[firstaid]

That sounds good.

[And she just freezes when he says that.]

Maybe, but... [She sighs.] I just don't know. [She's just not used to being without Yuri, she's that spoiled and she hates it.]

[blackshadow]

[ He reaches out to put a hand on the back of her shoulder carefully. ]

Neither do I... Just try not to think about it too much. It's not going to help anything.

[firstaid]

[Estelle looks back to Tyr, giving a small smile to him for that gesture.]

[ He rubs her shoulder a little and smiles back. ]

Anyway, have you ever made gravy before?

[firstaid]

I don't believe I have.

[But it's something she's more than willing to try to make.]

[blackshadow]

I'll show you how to, then. It'll go great with the croquettes.

[ And Tyr thinks a distraction would be good for her. ]

[firstaid]

Ah, do you really think so? [A beat as she thinks over it.] I suppose it would, wouldn't it?

[blackshadow]

[ He nods! ] Yeah. It'll add some extra flavour to them, too.

[firstaid]

What kind of meat should we use for the gravy?

[blackshadow]

What's your favourite kind?

[firstaid]

I like beef. If we could, we should make a beef gravy.

[blackshadow]

We can- Flynn'll love it, too.

[ Let's talk about Flynn as Tyr works to set up things they need for the gravy, starting with a cookbook! ]

He and Riou actually have pretty similar tastes; I didn't think you would, too, though.

[firstaid]

Do you think he will? I would be happy if that were so!

[It's a good enough distraction for her, as she looks over the cookbook and what ingredients they will need.]

He definitely will. I don't think I've ever seen him not finish off a steak.

[ It's a pretty simple recipe! It only asks for broth, flour, butter, and simple seasoning. ]
