[ The video zooms in to one James Rhodes, wearing his dress blues and sitting at the bar -- yes, again -- with one elbow propped up and his head in his hand, the other cradling a beer.

He doesn't look happy.

There's a voice comming from off-screen: ] This fine specimen of man is Col. James Rhodes and he has good reason to be in the bar today. Guess what? His best friend, Tony Stark, has left the City and he's drowning his sorrows in alcohol. Healthy coping mechanisms.

[ Rhodey's mouth twists, something angry and bitter in his expression, but his voice is still mostly even when he speaks. ]

I seriously don't need the running commentary, man.


[ ooc; So. Tony's gone and Rhodey is getting drunk. Italics are some NPC commentator. Come buy him a drink and cheer him up or join him in his misery. ]

Very likely not. Some of it is rather salacious and ought to come with a Not Safe For Children warning. Traumatizing, really.

What do you do with your suit, here, anyway? Are you on the police force?

How do you know about stuff that's not safe for children, huh?

[ He shrugs. ] I wasn't before. Might look into it again. Why?

Well, I should think that once a warrior, always a warrior. Crime fighter. Canned crusader. You see where I am going, of course.

[ Rolling his eyes. ] I'm a soldier, not some crime fighter crusader.

That was hilarious and you know it.

Is that not what soldiers do? They fight wars and uh- train and ... well, I've really no idea what they do, only that America seems to be rather violent so they must have many of them.

Maybe a little.

There's a difference between fighting a war and fighting crime. Big difference. [ He's guessing you haven't seen war, because you'd know the difference if you had. ]

I hail from Paris. Not many heroes or villains here. Captain Britain but, we hold no particular fondness for the English.

A lot more fighting, for one, and more death.

[ War isn't fun. Necessary, maybe, but not fun. ] Didn't know there was a Captain Britain. He anything like Captain America?

He does not get a lot of publicity so I cannot say. I should think not, though, Captain America seems to be a once in a millennia sort of person.

[He inclines his head.] That seems to describe New York often enough if the news is true.

Yeah, probably. [ You'll have to forgive him, he's not the most talkative today. ]

Take New York and multiply it by twenty, add in some more desert and terrorists.
