Went to drop off rent after I got home from errands and I learned that my landlady, a lovely elderly woman about 87 years old, has a tattoo of a red rose on the back of her left hip.

This is almost like that curse where people were dressed ridiculously and going on about how sexy they were, only significantly more awkward. I have no problem with the human form, don't get me wrong. I'd just rather not go through the day worrying about what physical attributes I'm going to discover on the guy that I buy pet toys from.

And him? Apparently he has a third nipple and has had his appendix removed. He's telling everyone he comes in contact with.

[There's the sound of a door opening, Phantom letting out happy yips and Charlie talking to the animal, something about 'very interesting and stressful day' before the feed shuts off.]

All I have is wings. I don't even keep my scars. And I, mostly, stayed home for a reason.

I'm very jealous to hear about your scars. Or...lack thereof.

For me, it'd almost be nice to be able to say, "See that? [He points to his chest, slightly to the left where he recalls being stabbed the first time.] It killed me. Then I came back!" because it sounds all badass. But I guess they're kinda ugly, huh?

It's not so much that I think scars are ugly. Some of them have fascinating stories. Other scars? They're kinda sad.

I hope that you have not been scarred for life.

If you can get yourself to ask, it might be worth it. It sounds like they really bother you.

I don't think it's good to forget the things we've been through, because sometimes those things make us who we are, and that's important. But...for something that hurts so much, it might be better to heal it and be rid of it.

[She hesitates, rubbing the back of her arm a moment before lifting her shirt sleeve and showing Setsuna a 6 inch long, very jagged and obviously once stitched shut scar on the back of her arm.] This needs to go. I get what you're saying. I don't want to entirely forget because of what you said. About our experiences making us who you are. I just wish this scar didn't make things so much more vivid. It's stupid but sometimes I get a glimpse of it in the mirror and I feel like I'm stuck reliving all these things that happened when I was a kid.

[When she was a kid.... Yeah, his eyes sting a little.]

Yeah, then that? You should get that healed, definitely. It's probably triggering the event for you, or something. And that might be preventing you from healing, rather than helping.

That's why you stay inside all day and just look at the network.

Speaking seriously--is there something wrong?

Just stressed. People keep coming and going and I'm kind of wishing sometimes there was a warning. And warning if they're going to show up again.

No, that's when I let the animals play with the network for the day.

They enjoy it. Phantom and Petrichor spend hours hiding the device and chasing each other away from it.

Yes, I have been thinking that, too. Is it like this usually, with so many people leaving at on time? This is the first time it has happened while I've been in the City.

I dunno. I've seen people leave before, but never in big groups like this. Sort of feels like a visitors weekend but in reverse. A big group of people just suddenly elsewhere.

The timing--I think that many of them left with the visitors. Having someone leave in this universe is strange. I cannot be sad as if they had died because they haven't, and it is not as if they have only gone away temporarily.

What is saddest, I think, is that their memories of the City disappear.

Is there anything that would help?
