Oh hi. This doohickey was in my pocket. I'm...not really sure how it got there! But it has a lot of buttons and I figured if I pushed enough of them, something would happen. Probably a terrible life decision but I've been known to make terrible life decisions from time to time.

Soooooo. Here I am. Talking at weird technology. Alone. By myself. Yup! That is what I do.

[some angry tittering, and Pabu the fire ferret runs up Bolin's shoulder and shoves his nose in Bolin's ear.]

[a pause, as man and fire ferret stare at each other. then Bolin faces the camera again.]

I am lost and confused and apparently I missed a few huge details in the time it took me to travel from where I was to where I am. I might be damaged goods.

Honestly? I haven't decided yet. Too much to wrap my brain around at the moment.

A little over a month. I think if I ever get up to two years, I'll be crazy by then. But she's adapted well.

So, phantom underground clock that ticks incessantly when you're alone. Gotcha.

You catch on quick. Don't worry; as long as you have Pabu, it won't be so bad. But try to hang around other people too from time to time.

Oh, trust me, I'm too much of a social animal to become a recluse. I like people, for the most part. There are a few I'm not a huge fan of, buuuut such is life.

For me, it's the other way around. There's only a few people that I'm fond of, and I'm not a fan of the rest. But that's because they're not fans of me.

Why ever not? [he sounds pretty incredulous] We haven't known each other long, sure, but I think you're great, Lena.

[SOB, people are so nice here. She's been waiting for the other shoe to drop: to find out it's all been a trick and people really hate her, but it hasn't happened yet.]

When you're new in town and the niece of the town recluse, people judge you before they even know you. And they don't really want to get to know you. They just hate you because you're not like them.
