[Serrure's looking a little worse for wear around the edges, an energy drink in one hand, eyes trying to slide closed closed, dark smudges under them. He hasn't slept in a few days and it is beginning to take a toll.]

I would like to hire someone- preferably with experience and a list of well-satisfied clients in the City that I can contact for references- who has extensive experience in the area of dreams, to ah, well- fix the nightmares I am plagued with.

The problem is, potential employees, that these are no mere abstractions of disjointed bits of fantasy, nor prophetic visions of the future. They are [A frustrated noise.] past occurrences. Terrible things that are over and done with that play out nightly in my mind.

I am so tired.

If it were only my imagination. These things, they were so real, at first I was looking them up after they happened, in old news articles and footage at the library- and all of the things were true. Had actually happened. [He stopped looking them up after that.]

I very much hope not, the person who did these things is dead, firstly and ... and was evil.

I do not want them at all. Even some of the good dreams are not mine, not my memories, not my imaginings.

How strange. Has this always happened to you?

As far as I can remember. Though I can only remember the past year of my life, the doctor said it was complete retrograde amnesia.

[HAH! No, this is not the moment to go HAH on a scared looking kid who looks like Loki did, once upon a millennia, so she doesn't. But it doesn't completely surprise, though it should.]

And he does - did - will do...many evil things?

Did. In my world, he did many evil things, but he died. Trying to save Asgard. From the ruin he brought to it.

[Lucky she's not 16 year old to go 'hah' at anyone, then.]

He keeps doing that. Dying. Not dying. [How many more times will she mourn and judge him at the same time.]

Bringing ruin. Trying to fix it.

You have sympathy for him? [Not an accusation, but a question. In his the relationships were all conflicted, tangled, painful.]

That sounds like a horrible existence.

Sympathy? [She pauses. Purses her lips.] I cannot call it that. I would not know what to call it. He has been my friend for longer than I have known him to be this...antagonist.

I hold no sympathy for what he has done, or tried to do. [Sending the Sentinel after them. But then again. She feels responsible, in part. What if, had she not left Asgard. Had she not betrayed the new king.] It is a complicated one, at least.

I am not sure how much of a past the one of my world shared with the one of yours, but ... I do hope yours does not go as far as ours does. It would be a foolish thing to throw away the things he has for the things he will never have.

Sometimes, people do foolish things for what they think is the right reason. [Yes they do.]

As long as they can recognize it is foolish and seek a new path. [One not as extreme as suicide and reincarnation.]
