[[ooc; Anna and Lena (
claimyourself) have taken up the work of an orphanage! Both orphans themselves, they have taken up together in an old building on the southwest side of town, not all that far from the graveyard. Below you will find:
a.) The message written on the lids of several wooden collection boxes throughtout town.
b.) The handwritten note which has been pinned up in such places as: the grocer, the pharmacist, etc.
c.) A help wanted sign which has been scattered about town.
All action will be assumed to be at the orphanage unless otherwise specified and someone will probably try to make you eat a cookie. Any children are welcome to hang around. We also have an injured Hazuki (
wetworking) on the premises. ]]

[Her modest part in this affair. Lena and the children get all the rest of the credit.]

[It's not a modest part! Pies are incredibly important.]

[quite seriously] Well enough, but my favorite horse is not so good. She took a fall on a hill.

[So there.]
That's terrible, will she be recovered?

Too many pies and I will lose my job.
[But no, back to being serious.] McCoy is not so sure. It is a bad sprain and the stationmaster gives her one month to recover, which is not enough time.

[This is a distracted rebuke, however.]
...will she be pastured or--
[Made into glue.]

[He shrugs expansively.]
Shot, if the stationmaster has his say. The Express uses good horses, yes, but even a good horse is of no use if she is lame. I think I will buy her. McCoy has offered to buy her outright, stable her until I cannot do my job any longer, I can pay him back.
[And his mood abruptly becomes very bright.] The orphans here, do they like horses? Reliant--that's her name--is not so big, and she is very gentle. She could visit, if her leg is not hurt so badly that she will not recover.

The children would love it. A much better option, I think. Please let us know if we can help you.
[She'd give him his donation back if she thought there was even half a chance he'd take it.]

[Don't forget it.]
