It sounds complicated to have a father. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have a parent. It's like imagining how life would be different with four arms or if the City was underwater. It's too weird to think about seriously.

I don't usually tell people this, but I guess it doesn't matter. I wasn't really born, at least not in the usual manner.

It's hard to tell, after all the posts yesterday. I never needed someone to take care of me--not like that. Are you glad you have parents?

Yeah, yesterday... there're a lot of parent-problems in the City.

Huh? Oh, I don't have any. Now. I did, is what I mean, but I haven't for a long time. It just seems like they'd be nice to have.

No father? Test tube baby? I have only heard of those.

You could say that, yeah. Though I was never really a baby.

You just appeared as a matured person? Awkward.

That's not the first word I'd use to describe it, but I did basically just wake up.

I guess I don't. But from talking to the only other people who would know anything about it, it seems likely. I was...an abandoned project.
