[Derek is still in a bad place with Cam having left so suddenly. But he's ventured out because he knows who he's seen on days like this before. He isn't really expecting anything or anyone, but he goes out anyway.

He's walking through the square close to the fountain where most people seem to congregate, looking over faces, through the crowds, into the eyes of people happy to see people they know, and those here for the day who look as confused as he remembers feeling when he'd first arrived here.]

[He's still just holding on... like he's seen a ghost and doesn't really want to let go in case she just disappears. But when she speaks again, he realizes that it's probably just awkward for her. She can't know she's dead if it hasn't happened yet. And he has no clue at what time point she's from.

So reluctantly, he pulls back, squeezing her shoulders just a bit to make sure he can feel her there again before he lets go.]

Uh, yeah... everything's fine. Just glad to see you. It's been a long time. [Almost two years for him since he first came to the City.

Yeah, about that. This place is called The City. It's... not home. [Although he guessed in some small ways it had become a kind of home to him. He's made some roots here.]

But it's where I've been for about a year and a half now. And don't hate on a guy for sounding like Reid, but people say it's a pocket dimension.
