[A hand fumbles in front of the camera, then pulls back to show a teenage girl who is looking very confused and a bit scared.]

Where am I? What's going on here?

[She looks around her, then back to the camera. Bringing it closer to her face to better examine it, she narrows her unique eyes, one green, one gold.]

Is this some kind of sick joke? Did you do this, mother?

[The last word is spit out harshly. This is so not a happy mother-daughter relationship.]

I don't know what your angle is this time, but I don't want to talk to you. Send me home right now!

Umm... sort of? There's this place that's different from anywhere else, at least in terms of magic. Maybe it was a different dimension.

[...'this place that's different from anywhere else' describes ... well ... just about anywhere, Lena.]

How was it different in regards to magic?

[She blows out a breath. Really, with all the secrets of the Caster world left unrevealed to her, she's the last perfect he should be asking.]

It was supposed to be a place with special magic. Not Dark or Light, just... magic. I don't know if that was true, but when you walked into it, you could tell. Something felt different.

[She is the queen of vagueness.]

That must be another difference between our types of magic. Only some magic is specifically Dark. The rest depends on the user.

Must be. Hey, are you one of those wand users? This girl named Ginny says she has to use a wand.

Oh yeah. I think she mentioned she lived with you. Is that normal? The deities bringing in families?

It's all a bit random, honestly, who the City does and doesn't bring in. If you're inquiring about your mother, all I can say for sure is I don't know.

It's a mixed blessing. On the one hand, your family is here with you ... but on the other, they're here.
