It's not like anyone I know is going to come here, anyway. Not again.

But if you want to talk, here I am.

[creeping up behind her like a creeper]

He's coming.

[As a representative of the Upper Tree Chapter of the G.R.O.S.S. Club, he feels it is his absolute duty to do something about the female operative on the other side of this square.

Plus, she looks a little like Suzie, with the shape of the back of her hair and all.

He sneaks up as quietly as is possible considering the difficult terrain and upon reaching what he feels is a strategically sound but well-ranged position, opens fire with his trusty water pistol.]

[ Toph is surprised. She wasn't watching for anyone creeping up behind her. Considering how many people are in the City right now, there's a bit of a crowd anyway. She stiffens in surprise. ]

Who's coming? Who are you?

[ So many vibrations to sort out. Toph doesn't bother to turn towards River, trying to feel her out by foot. ]

[ Someone is throwing water on her. Toph isn't even sure what to think about this at first -- did someone spill a bucket? Is this Sugar Queen's way of saying hello? She shifts her stance and "looks" for the culprit.

It's a kid throwing water at her. She grins a little. Maybe he should get a little hello back! So she rumbles the earth under his feet a little. ]

It's an endless cycle. He leaves and he returns. He dies and is reborn. All you have to do is wait.

[peering closely]

You don't like sugar very much, do you?

[A-ha! The operative is suitably inoperative, standing still under the sheer superiority of his att-]

Woah! [Luckily, years of training in the Avoiding Pouncing Tiger Style have given him the reflexes he needs to not lose his balance for more than a moment. Apparently this land is prone to earthquakes. He runs to take a more suitable position and opens fire again.]

Um... hello?

[Remember that horsebird, Toph? Yeah.]

I'm so very sorry to bother you, but may I stay in here for a moment? It's so busy outside...

[ Ummm. So this is a skinny girl, also barefoot which is interesting, but she isn't making any sense. Okay. ]

Everyone comes back from the dead here. No waiting.

[ Pause. ] I like sugar. I run a teashop, after all.

...Do you know you don't make any sense? At all?

You run a tea shop? [sudden, almost normal-human interest]

[ Okay, she's going to abandon all pretense of innocence. It's too cold to be wandering around wet. This guy deserves retribution. ]

You're going to get it now!

[ She lobs a dirt ball at him in return and runs to take cover. ]

Oh hey, it's the horsebird! I was wondering if I'd see you again. Sure, sure, stay a while.

Yeah. It's near the fountain. I'm keeping it for somebody. [ She shifts a foot awkwardly. That's not her favorite topic of conversation. ]

Will it get lost?

[Wait, the operative is yelling. He peers carefully around the corner of his cover, poking his head up over the edge of it to scan the area for signs of anything. Seeing nothing, he gingerly takes a full step away from his cover --

-- right into the dirt ball. He's knocked to the ground.]

[Thud. Oompf. &c.] Ouch! Hey! Hobbes, did she throw a brick at me? I think it exploded. ... I know where you're getting a dirt ball in a minute. You wanna play like that, I can definitely play like that. [He takes as much of the dirt ball she pummeled him with and dumps water from a discarded cup on a table on it. Mudball. Hobbes, you go that way, I'll go here. [The representative returns to take appropriate cover, then throws a rock across the square to make the operative think he is over there, so that when she runs out to investigate, he'll be able to bean her upside the head with this mudball.]

Well look who we have here. A familiar face- fortune must be smiling upon me.

[Azula saunters toward Toph, easy, breezy, and so far not setting anything on fire.]

Thank you ever so much. It's never this crowded in Ponyville.

[Merlin isn't done being fascinated by this place yet, and knowing he'll probably get back home in a couple of days he's more than happy to take advantage of the free time. So he's wandering, and looking at things, and passes through the square.

He's not particularly paying that much attention, so he might walk into you if you don't pay attention either. Careful.]

[ Guess who just wandered into the teashop? Come on, guess.

Oh fine, she'll give herself away. About immediately after entering the teashop, in fact! ]

Wow, I can't believe this place hasn't changed a bit! [ She practically skips in, looking around and admiring the inside. But since she doesn't see him, she calls out instead. ] Uncle Iroooh!

...Yeah, it might, really. If no one keeps it up, it'd just be abandoned. Forgotten. [ She kicks a rock. ]

[ Well, there went a rock. She could hear it hit the ground. Chances are, this was a trap, but she didn't mind too much. Really. As long as she could remember to go gentle on the kid -- he obviously wasn't a bender, so she didn't want to hurt him -- this could be fun. So she steps out into his probable line of fire, positioned to retaliate. ]

It isn't usually this crowded here. Visit Days are busy, though. The teashop isn't usually this full. Do you want some tea, by the way? We probably still have whatever you drank last time.

[ The biggest of eyerolls. ] It figures the one person I didn't want to see would show up. What do you want, Princess Crazypants?

[ Toph would like to have it on the record that he bumped into her, not the other way around. ]

Hey Lost Boy, watch where you're going!

[ Oh hey, it's someone Toph can actually stand! On good days, anyway! Toph comes around from behind the counter. ]

Hey, Somersaults. Iroh isn't here anymore.

[ Ooh, "Somersaults"! Ty Lee doesn't mind that nickname. Still, her enthusiasm for her new nickname is cut by Iroh not being around anymore. ]

Huh? What are you talking about? This was his favourite teashop.
