[ This is a quiet video, at first, just the quiet sound of air circulating, like slow breathing, and a glimpse into a strange room with oddly organic ceiling supports and green lighting on gold walls. Then the Doctor steps into view, his face backlit with strange shadows in the half-dark of the room. He smiles, and pats one of the coral supports, his face quite tender in expression, as if greeting an old friend. Then there's a loud electronic noise from out of frame left. He looks alarmed a moment and disappears out of frame, talking. ]

There now, old girl. What are you fussing about?

[Turlough's not great at sleeping at the best of times. He always wakes up at the smallest noise. And it's especially bad now that he's here, back in the Tardis. Well, it's not his Tardis or his Doctor, but something about the careful hum of the engines and the soft glow off the walls still feels familiar. He finds himself drawn to the console room, wanting to just stay where the sound is most familiar. But of course with three Doctors on one ship, one of them is always bound to be there. He stands awkwardly in the doorway for a moment, hands in his pockets as he curls into himself. He's still got his uniform on, but the jacket he left in his room, shirt a bit rumpled and the sleeves rolled up.]

I didn't think you'd be in here. Doesn't any version of yourself ever sleep?

[ Oh, hello, Turlough. The Doctor was enjoying his quiet, but he doesn't really mind the interruption. He waves in greeting and then goes back to fussing with some wiring on top of the console. ]

Timelords don't need to sleep as much. [ Especially Timelords who have terrible nightmares. ] Too much to do.

[rudeandginger]

I know that feeling.

[He slinks in a little closer, watching what he's doing.]

[leathered]

[ The wiring protests a bit, shocking the Doctor's fingers, and he hurriedly pulls them away. The TARDIS is cranky. ]

I don't suppose you can find the wirecutters, could you? If you're going to stand about, you could be helpful.

[rudeandginger]

[He finds the toolbox near by and fishes the wire-cutters out, handing them down to the Doctor. And since he's down there, he peers under himself.]

She looks completed different! What did you do to her?

[leathered]

Needed a bit of rebuilding after -- [ The Time War. ] After. And a bit before, actually. Should have seen the one before mine, all steel and sparkles. Ostentatious. Like that self of mine, a bit.

[ He snips a wire, which doesn't end in tears, thankfully. ] Did you think I'd never change it? She gets bored too, I think. [ He smiles conspiratorially. ]

[rudeandginger]

I didn't know a Mark 40 had this much you could re-wire.

lol are they on vacation in that icon or what

[leathered]

[ He lifts the sonic screwdriver as if in demonstration. ] You don't know true innovation, then. [ He sonics something, which has no visible effect but seems to make him happy. ] So, couldn't sleep, is it?

yep basically. planet of fire is the sexiest serial

I'm not very good at it at the best of times, and especially not now that I'm in the Tardis again.

You don't have to stay. [ He hunches his shoulders a bit and busies himself in not caring. Oh, Doctor, don't be so sensitive. ]

Of course I don't have to stay. I wouldn't be enjoying myself if this were forced.

[Excuse him while he pulls up some floor next to you so he can watch the tinkering and pointless sonicing better.]

[ The Doctor smiles just a little and then frowns at the console. ] Definitely not my TARDIS. What has he done with the rotor since? [ He pokes something. ] So when is it for you? Your timeline?

[ It's odd to him not being the "youngest" for once. He might be nosy. ]
