'Penis' is acceptable. Many of the slang terms are generally overused and cliche -- many like to use the words 'dick' and 'cock,' which I suppose are more accepted and less laughable. However, you reserve the right to veto anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

I honestly think almost everything used to describe male genitalia is rather uncomfortable. [Even saying 'male genitalia' made her wince just slightly.] Though I suppose there's no getting around it when such topics arise.
