I want to make one thing clear, here.

[ From the background noise, it's obvious Eames is out and about, but has taken the time to grace you with the dulcet tones of his exasperation! ]

Just because I fancied myself a tattoo artist with an already compromised state of mind previously doesn't mean I went around gifting you lot with one while you were sleeping. Were I going to plant one right on your left cheek, I'd have charged you for the trauma - I never endure any stressor for free, you know. Economics, so on and so forth. Besides, considering it seems to be coupled with the fact that there are far too many horses roaming about the City, I think it's fair to cry curse without risking crying wolf.

Speaking of, though - when did the carousel undergo renovations? Rather, is dilapidation the new rage? So long as it's not the equivalent of the sand from a few months past, I suppose. I've done rather good with avoiding death, apart from the shark.

[ ooc: Eames is roaming about the City today if anyone would like to action thread on the side! Places he's going to hit up are the the carousel, the Hall of the Missing, work (Saya's garage), and then either The Blue Light or an equivalent blues bar. [So, okay. They're at the Blue Light because that's where they both like to hang out, apparently. Mostly because she works there and he swings by often enough, but let's say she's seen his post to the network while on break and let's say it's a fairly slowish day since most of the City's taken to being four-legged and ponified. So she actually has the luxury to chat with Eames for a bit, which she does, turning up at wherever he's sitting with a pen tucked behind her ear and her wand tucked into the the messy bun on her head and a grin on her face.]

So I suppose you aren't the bloke to ask if I wanted a tattoo on my arse?

[Mindy's seated near the carousel, eyeing it with some concern. She has a bag of chips in her hand and a bottle of soda and a half eaten deli sandwich from a local restaurant. She's watching the horses, specifically. Her legs are swinging as she eats and the look she's giving the carousel is one of too much focus for someone her age.]

It looked nicer a few days ago.

[Not that she likes carousels.]

[Wilson's already made his way into the hospital, glancing over the network with a bagel in his office before tending to patients.

The bit about the carousel is what catches his attention.]

[ Want a waitress Eames? You may have to wait a little longer. Elena isn't working tonight. But, she is dropping by to see if anyone she knows is here. She misses The Mystic Grill. She only recognizes you - and the other waitresses. She makes her way over. ]

[Honestly, Raymond hasn't even looked at the network long enough to notice Eames's post. Not that he'd have much of worth to contribute if he had; there are more pressing matters at hand.

Like grocery shopping. Which was supposed to have occurred over the weekend, but being trapped as a four-legged infant animal over the weekend put a wrench in that plan. With any luck it won't happen again anytime soon.

So here he is, minding his own business in the bread aisle. Hopefully nothing will put a wrench in this plan, either. Hopefully.]

Is it really that easy to get a tattoo without even realizing it?

[ Whenever Eames is back at the house, it won't be hard to miss Ariadne in the living room. This is mostly because she's got her shirt up around her shoulders and is twisting to try and scratch at her back -- which seems to be... sprouting something. ]

Could I get some help?

You could certainly ask.

[ Eames quips between a lazy drought of his beer, looking up toward her as he sets the lager back on the table. ]

But I'd hardly be granting them out. I know of a place in the City that would.

[ Eames doesn't particularly know who the girl is other than she swapped bodies with Hercules not long ago - Mindy, perhaps? Minnie? - but he doesn't need to know her to agree with her. ]

Could be rain damage, I suppose, though I've learned a long time ago never to brush off even mild changes, here.

It's looking rather worn down, these days - as though it's been abandoned for years.

It would've been ironic. Not the right parent to have issues over.

[ WEH SO USELESS TO HIM, ELENA. Still, he can see obviously enough that she's not working this evening, and he's already settled with his meal and drink as is, so it'll have to do. ]

Careful, now, wouldn't want to set the rumours anew.

[ Yusuf and Arthur sent him some last minute requests for milk and dogfood and thus Eames is combing through the grocery store. It's not his usual choice, hence he's somewhat unfamiliar with the layout, passing through the bread aisle to make it to the dairy section on the far side of it. Noting Mister Leon, however, he frowns - one could choose simply to ignore him, true, but he needs potato bread while he's at it and Ray is in the way of that.

JERK. EITHER BEATING UP ON POOR PLAID WEARING BOYS OR BEING IN THE WAY OF BREAD. ]

Depends on your definition of easy, I suppose.

Rain damage that drastic? [It looks drastic to her, honestly, but then she's a kid. She stops swinging her legs, tucking them under herself on the bench as she looks at the carousel again.]

Musta been a hell of a rainstorm, then.

[ Ariadne da fuq. Eames peers at her somewhat curiously, and goes to make some sort of witticism, but he can spot the small threads of blood making their way down her back and staining the scrunched up hem of her shirt. ]

What happened here?

[ He pads over to try and get a better look, though it hardly looks better up close - her skin has inflamed outpockets that may be cysts or something of the sort, red lines around her shoulders and back where she might have been attempting to itch herself. It reminds him almost immediately of the lesions on Arthur's skin from his illness, and he nudges her instead in direction of the bathrooms upstairs where he keeps a proper first aid kit to help clean her up. ]

[ Her mouth curls into a smile. ]

I never told you. The gossiping curse -- apparently I put that together. I was cursed but -- I'm sorry.

[Certainly not by his own intent. Well, not the second part, anyway. How is he supposed to know there's a big British guy with both a hankering for potato bread and a grudge against his particular person?

Not that he misses Eames's presence entirely, of course. He eyes him with a quirked eyebrow.]

You need something?

I don't know... [He glances down at himself, then briefly flashes one of his chain-link tattoos in the camera's view.] It sure would explain how I got these things on my wrists.

Half a hurricane, as far as I can tell. [ His lips downturn in a somewhat exaggerated motion. ] But then, I've never been in half of one.

I don't know.

[ It's a really uncomfortable sort of day. ]

First there's the random tattoo and now this.

[ Her actual tattoo is still there and looks relatively unharmed, luckily. Still, those spots are there, inflamed and red and annoying. Ariadne gets up and heads upstairs at his nudging, still grumbling. ]
