[Rose is nesting in bed with more blankets and pillows than anyone really needs. There's a pot of tea next to her, a box of biscuits, a basket of half eaten chips and several books stacked up next to her, including those Twilight books that she likes but someone else in residence doesn't care much for. The pieces to some sort of board game are scattered about as well. For her part, Rose just looks tired and pale. She's got one of the blankets pulled up to her chin.]
Anyone else get...y'know yesterday?
[She sounds as exhausted and shell shocked as she looks.]

Rabbits would probably chew on all the things you've brought in here. 'm okay with just you bringin' you.
[She hesitates, reaching out to lay her hand against his cheek hesitantly.] 'm okay now. Here and safe.

[ That's quite sobering. Not that he's been that far from it, but it's a straightforwardness about it that he's been dancing around instead. He doesn't move or anything but he can't quite meet her eyes. ] Yeah, but you weren't.

[It doesn't matter that they don't have quid here. She takes a deep breath at his response. She's not sure how to react. She's not sure if holding her is going to be off limits now because she died or if that matters and she notices the way he doesn't look at her. After some consideration, she inches closer to him, hesitating and then scoots closer still until she can slide an arm around his shoulders, practically shoving herself at him, her free hand going to his neck.] I am now. S'all that matters, Doctor.

[ Obviously they'll just ante up when they leave the City.
He's watching her movements - not her eyes - but he doesn't make any motion to move further away as she inches closer. The arm she puts around him, for a moment he doesn't know how to handle that - the arm; yesterday it couldn't move, or shouldn't have been able to, at any rate - it's around him how, pulling them closer together. He swallows, looking down between them still. ] I know. You're here, now. I just... The... It's fresh, you know? [ Not that this has stopped him letting a hand cross the pair of them and settle on her lower back, because if nothing else he can get some reassurance of her continued warmth. ]

[The hand at her lower back reassures her that whatever else is going on, this is okay so she settles a bit against him, head bowed to almost touch his shoulder. She nods a little, sliding her arm so that her hand rests on the back of his neck, fingers twisting in his hair.] I know, but y'know what I remember the most? [She shifts a little, looking up at him from beneath her lashes.] You got there in time.
no subject
I wouldn't quite call that 'in time', Rose.

I was't alone. ['when I died' goes unsaid. Neither one of them need to hear those words.] S'what's important.
no subject
He could already tell that wouldn't last forever; he was already starting to swing back when she was suddenly here again, alive. ]
Yeah. What's important.
no subject
Swinging back is good. It's fantastic even. She wouldn't tolerate the shutting down for long.]
Ought to do somethin'. Go out and have cake or explore somethin'. Bit of a celebration, yeah?
[And it'd get them both out of the house so that life could seem a bit more normal.]
no subject
You want to go out? Just... go out?
[ Nothing specific? Because he doesn't mind going out, and she seems to be okay, maybe only slightly pale, maybe that's in his mind, who knows. He enjoys going out, but he doesn't want anything to happen to her. ]
no subject
Just want to do somethin' normal.
[She smiles a little at him. She is okay mostly. She'll probably have nightmares for a very long time and curl up to sleep where ever he happens to be at the moment rather than in her bed. She doesn't want to spend too much time alone because she's a bit afraid of getting lost in her own head. She's been aware of her own mortality for a long time but now she's aware that her life could be ended much more quickly than either she or the Doctor are counting on. 80 years could easily become a week.]

[ This is given all of about three seconds before he pipes back up again. ]
Chips?
no subject
Chips'd be brilliant. Maybe walk through the park.
no subject
Chips and a walk through the park. We'll just walk the whole thing, yeah? We did a lot of that as well. Before here. [ Moves to help her off the bed if she needs it. ]
no subject
[She lets him help her out of bed even though she doesn't necessarily need it. It takes her a moment to find a pair of trainers but once she does, she shoves her feet in them and sort of runs a hand through her hair to kind of smooth it down.] All right, yeah?

Might get a milkshake. Figure we can juggle a basket of chips and a shake between us. [Because if they got one of each, they'd have to stop holding hands. That's not going to happen.]
no subject
And then walking to the predetermined destination, swinging their hands a bit because it's just harder not to. ]
We can probably handle that. I think we've handled much more complicated problems than that before in the past.
no subject
S'xactly. Like...oh...savin' the Universe.

[ All the happy. They could use some patented Kaylee Frye bottled joy right about now. Oh well. ]
no subject
[They really could. They'll get some more eventually]

no subject
[It seems exactly the sort of thing he'd do.]
With great power comes great responsibility. I think we're ready to handle it, Grasshopper.
[Way to mix her pop culture there.]
no subject
Because I'm me!
Did you just... Was that two different movies? I can't tell sometimes - there's whole period of history there where all your movies seem to blend together. Just kept making the same ones over and over again.
no subject
[She laughs and nods.] Spiderman and some sorta...kung fu thing? Maybe Karate Kid, but I can't remember for certain.
