Soooo...I'm an alien, but I'm actually half-Kree and half-Skrull. My dad was Kree so he looked like a human and I think I look like him but I don't know if that's really genetic or just...partly chance. Anyway, I was raised on Earth and thought I was human, or a mutant anyway, for most of my life.

Maybe part-shapeshifters just shift to look like whatever their parents' form is.

Yeah, or maybe it's just easier to look like the non-shifter part. I didn't look that much different than I'm used to looking when I lost my powers during a curse.
