[ Well, he's busy moving. Not that he has that much stuff to move. When you wear the same leather jacket every day... Anyway, feel free to catch him in the hallway or later tonight when he's out in the City. ]

[ This place is practically full of Time Lords now. Considering how much they used to annoy him, he shouldn't be this happy. ]

So I've heard. I used to live here once, has anyone told you? Or have I just become part of the City's forgotten past. I don't think I recognize this voice, can I see your face?

[ They give him better hearing, he swears. ]

Last I remember was in the TARDIS. But someone's turned her into a woman here. And I'm here -- not the me you remember, but further on. Two of them. Strangest little microcosm in the universe, this.

[There's a pause as she wraps her mind around a mortal TARDIS, but she pushes it aside, stranger things happened in the City. She'd even found love there once upon a time.]

The you with the pinstripe suit and the [She makes a motion with her hand towards her hair] the one with the hair? I've met him. He was here when I first arrived, but then he's come and gone in the City more than once.

I certainly wouldn't mind it. I was planning on walking around today at any rate.

All right then! [ He's pleased by the idea of seeing her again. ] Where'd you land? I'll come find you. This [ the moving, that is ] can wait until later.

I'm near the fountain, I'll wait for you here. [She's smiling, remembering the way things work here.]

[ He runs. It's ridiculous -- where would she go? -- but he runs anyway. He thought Romana was dead, lost with the rest of Gallifrey. Sometimes he still thinks about her, that quick wit and sharp smile. But this isn't even the regeneration of her he remembers last. Doesn't matter. It is still nice to see her. ]

[ Have a hug. Whether you want one or not. ]

[Well, okay, she can understand the hug. For him, she imagines it has been awhile, hasn't it? Still, it doesn't keep her from being a little awkward about it. Her Doctor wasn't nearly so affectionate.]

And here you are. Looking as healthy as ever. You've gotten taller, too, haven't you?

That or you've gotten shorter. Probably the former. [ Grins at. ] Nothing about the ears? That's unexpected.

They are a bit oversized, but after the fluffy hair and never-ending scarf the rest of you is practically restrained.

[Looking around she wondered if there were any other familiar faces she should look out for.]

Was there anything in particular you wanted me to take you to see?

They're calling it 2012, for what that's worth. [ Shrugs. ]

Friendly and intelligent. I think her mind might not be pterosaur, actually, just from the feel of it. Name's Janine. She's probably around if you want to meet her at some point.
