[ The Doctor - maybe? If that's the Doctor - is looking at textbooks every now and then between working on about eight other things at the same time. Effectively? Not studying. Playing. Playing. Playing, some science, and then some more playing. But he's in his room at least. He looks like he might be getting dressed up to go out though - but given that he usually wears a full suit, and right now that's missing? it's really hard to tell.

[She shrugs as they start down the hall.] Don't know. Might start with chips?

I like chips. We can do chips. I'll need... [ He pats his pockets. Then groans a bit. ] Hang on, I'll need money for chips. In my room. [ He starts back to get some. ]

[She just laughs and reaches out to grab his wrist.] Come on. Let's just go. My treat.

[ He lets her pull him back along the corridor and towards the street. ] Are you sure? I mean I know it's liberated and all but I still think I'm s'pposed to pay for food until we're like... You know, serious or something.

[ Blink. ] Unless we're there and I've missed it. Are we serious? I'm sorry.

[She looks back at him over her shoulder and just laughs. It settles into a smile with the tip of her tongue between her teeth.]

[ He looks at her for a moment with the same look on his face and then goes all scrunchy. ]

That's not fair at all - I asked you first! And even apologised preemptively in case I was wrong about the thing I didn't guess about.

[She can't help but laughing at him a bit. She knows she probably shouldn't but it's fun confounding him so.]

S'all right. Think we're not quite serious but on our way to it, yeah? Go get your money if it'll make you feel better.

[ He pauses for another second, trying to work out if this is now some sort of test - not that she's that mean, but just that she does seem to enjoy watching him try and think his way through things. He gives her an apologetic smile after a moment and runs back.

And a few seconds later sort of sheepishly comes back out. ]

So, I'm just going to have to owe you this one.

[She just smirks at him, rolls her eyes and holds her hand out.]

[ He brightens considerably, reaching out for her hand and then running past her until they get outside. He's glancing around, this way and that, and then looks back at her. ]

Where were we going?

[She runs behind him, trainers relatively quiet on the floor. She laughs when he asks where they were going.]

Chips? After that, no plans. You got somethin' in mind?

TO THE CHIPS! [ He says, striking a heroic pose and then dashing off, full pelt, to the one they usually frequent. Once there, out of breath, and whenever she catches up: ] I didn't really have anywhere in mind. Maybe we'll think of one after we eat.
