[It probably won't be too much of a surprise that he shows up at least twenty minutes late. Then again, only twenty minutes might be some kind of record for him. Either way, here's hoping she won't notice his busted lip.]

[ Not much chance of that, but she's willing to cut him some slack. Because twenty minutes really isn't so bad.

And it isn't as though he couldn't just leave her waiting for longer, walking home alone is a pretty bad idea. ]

[ She'll probably insist on fixing him up later. Once they're home. Not much she can do on the way. ]

I stayed in the back. It's not like any of them actually want to talk to me.

[Then they'd have his scrappy ass to deal with. Irresponsible as he may be in other aspects, he's still the type to make damned sure nobody messes with his kid sister and gets away with it.]
