I'm so sorry--I just meant to get tapas for lunch, but then it seemed like a good idea to hug you and you have no idea how much I've needed a hug since Derek left and for whatever reason decided I'm capable of basically running the Youth Center which I'm not because I'm always at the Welcome Center and then doing errands for people to earn enough money for rent and then there were all of the dreams and most of them were terrible and when I tried to be helpful I was mostly just annoying and pushy and Stephen, I'm tired of being okay all the time because I'm definitely not but I don't know what to do about it.

[He keeps both arms around her as he guides her a little awkwardly through the door into the kitchen, kicking the door behind him. It's not busy right now, and people can survive without tapas for another few minutes. This is emergency.]
I had no idea.

Which doesn't explain why, mid-way through clearing something up, he puts down the stuff in his hands and twists to hug Stephen. He's good at hugging. Those 1940s boys always are. ]
